A great Hollies classic performed by Terry Sylvester with a little help from James Griffin and John Ford Coley. Recorded in Canada during the first night of their three-night tour as Soft Rock Cafe.

Right on. Terry is a class act. There are still those who regret that Graham left and they're entitled to their opinion, but Terry's voice harmonized so well with Allan (xx)and Tony and he was solid with them for all those years. He deserves credit for keeping the Hollies' harmonic sound alive through thick and thin. Bless you, Terry!

Terry Sylvester, you're such a lovely man, most beautiful voice, gorgeous looking, great musician, but best of all you are so humble with no ego at all, still entertaining and obviously enjoying every waking hour, thank you!

Humble? No ego? Have you seen his tweets lately? He's a disturbed old man who can't sing, and constantly putting the rest of The Hollies, especially Allan, down.

If Jimmy, Terry and John had formed their own group back in the 70s, I think they would've been just as big as the groups they actually were in. Each one is SO talented. RIP Jimmy.

AGREE!!! Love Terry. Nash is a pompous ass and IMO overrated. CSNY were fabulous because of the talents of Young and Stills.

Not a hardcore Hollies fan but having trawled through a few versions of this magnificent song, this is my favourite. I know Allan's voice was so piercingly distinctive but in every other version I've heard after their original the harmonies never quite regained the punch of the record...so you have to adapt to what you can do on stage with fewer musicians and no overdubs! That's why I think this a very well judged rendition by Terry. I really like the electric guitarist's parts in this too. A+!

Hi Christian - Believe it or not, Terry performed with John Ford Coley last night at a local restaurant/comedy club - only 20 minutes from me. However, I did not know about the show until it was too late - it was a real disappointment. Anyway, I'm glad you liked this video - he did a nice job!

Hi - He was the organizing force behind Griffin, Sylvester and Coley as well - he promoted and organized the three Toronto-area shows, which is where I taped these videos.

He was! Jimmy told me Terry did the booking for them. HAHA I suspect Jimmy didn't want to be bothered. Jimmy was always telling Terry to get Boston gigs and by the time he got them, Jimmy was too sick to be out and of course then he tragically passed away.

He certainly looked the part in the early days. Pop star hair and bit of a girly look. Cute girls might say. But yes credit to him for maintaining the Hollies image and sound. He has aged rather well also. Critics will say he's earning a consistent living from the old days. But who have thought 55 years on the old pop stars are still singing those same songs?

The Hollies were proof positive that you didn't need to be boozy drugged up womanisers to remain revelant through the decades in rock n roll. These guys were more interested in making good music staying loyal to their fans. With regards to loyalty; they all have life long marriages with exception of Graham Nash.
