What this feature is missing is how dope of a human Miguel is. Aside from making iconic Mexican and Mexi-pino (Filipino + Mexican) food, this guys is the first to donate both time and food to folks in need. He was there to feed protestors at the keystone pipeline, folks in need after California fires, and recently people suffering from the complications of COVID. If you’re in SF, find this dude on social and be wherever he’ll be. Also this dude throws down a dope dancehall set. You da real MVP Miguel!

Miguel is an amazing person, and was right there in the thick of it trying to help people out as soon as the pandemic hit in March. He fed frontline workers for free, he fed kids 12 and under for free, he helped support donation drives, he used his birthday to encourage everyone to donate to his cause of helping out-of-work farmers and workers further up north in wine country, and 9 months later he's still going strong. *The people and city of SF owe people like Miguel a lot!!* 🙏🙏🙏 Huge lines at Al Pastor Papi foodtruck now, but the real ones will still be there when the hype settles down lol.

In TACOS AL PASTOR, what was adopted from the Lebanese foreigners was the way to vertically put the meat in the form of a "top" and rotate it on the fire. Because it should be remembered that: Muslims do not eat pork; in addition to ingredients such as nixtamalized corn for tortillas or achiote and chiles to marinate the meat, all of them are native ingredients of Mexico. The tacos al pastor were not brought from the east, what we do adopt from the east is the way to put the meat on a top. But not the preparation and everything else, the only thing that was adopted from the Lebanese is the way of cooking the meat, the taco al pastor is 100% Mexican, because the way you cook a dish doesn't matter
