@sylvestersinead26633 жыл бұрын
Yup. Cooks feed people. Chefs do too. It's just that chefs studied in school and are more refined, yes? With the tweezers to select the most perfect parsley leaf and blenders to make glorified baby food. C'mon. Don't generalize. Some cooks make better food than some chefs. Being a chef doesn't make someone better than all cooks. Using bread to mop up sauces is a practice that has developed independently across cultures, convergent even. Sometimes, a lot of flavor is sacrificed when you make art with food on a plate, praise it for the excellent use of negative space making it look like a terrarium, saying to simply throw everything in a pot and stew it is on a lower level of things. Just because food looks pretty on a big white plate with dots and dollops of different gels does not make it better than a sandwich with bread that mopped up resting juices.
