Compared to what they were of the past, they are low. If you knew what operating costs were, you'd agree, airline tickets are way too low.

The price of airline tickets are INSANELY low actually. There's currently super discount tickets going for 89.00 plus tax from Seattle to Los Angeles. That works out to 10.72 dollars per mile. Of course they have a lot of rules and restrictions. But to call airline prices anything but going down is not paying attention.

@@paulmayden7344 I'm looking at ticket prices to Japan for this spring and from SFO they're several hundred dollars higher than they were last year. *Edit: After doing a bit more searching, it looks like international flights from the US are higher in price, while domestic prices are lower. I'm also noticing that flights to Mexico City, which were about $350 this time last year, are just under $500 now.

@@paulmayden7344 Not to mention people want to pay LESS for an airline ticket, but they want FIRST CLASS service for a 'saver' fare ticket. Meals with no charge, baggage with no charge, pillow no charge, 100% direct flights with no connections and pay only $50 for a round trip ticket anywhere in the world.

Go ahead a stop Spirit from merging with JBLU. Independently under these economic conditions Spirit will run out of cash in a year and be in bankruptcy well before then. They need this merger at any chance of surviving

Then we would still have terrible passenger service. Hawaiian and Alaska has better service. United when it merged with Continental kept the terrible passenger service instead of upgrading to Continental's.

Does that mean you don't want the merger. Hawaiian since covid was losing money. Wouldnt last a couple of years then it would be worse for inter-island.
