It seems those ebikes are QUICK! When you asked your son if it was scary at all, I ❤ how he said, "...a little bit..." yet at the same time it's obvious he likes it. It's just something new to get used to over some time. [HUGZ] for your lil dudes! ...and your lil girl! I'll soon be moving in to a house at the coast of OR. I found out there are "fat bikes" that are recommended to use for riding trails on the coast. The bike store I found also has ebikes. I emailed asking if there are eFatBikes too. They replied basically saying there are! I'm hoping to get to that store someday and test ride an eFatBike. It has been a very long time since I've ridden a bike.

You may be better off adjusting the seat a bit higher so knees don't hurt after a long ride because they're not stretching enough.

A good follow up to your last post! I confess to being more of a cheapskate. I decided to simply install e-bike kits on our regular bikes. No, they don't have the range and power that you enjoy on your F5, but… they're "good enough" for our needs. I'm curious why you opted for this folding model instead of Aventon's Sinch.2…?

#1 Your seat is far too low. You adjust for proper leg extension to the pedals when seated, not standing height over the seat. #2 almost every Chinese boxed bike will need the derailleur and brakes adjusted, which the manufacturers don't advertise well.

No issues, they’re pretty fool proof and hassle free.

It looks good but for portability maybe a leaner version. When it has electric throttle I would think that a middle high gear would be enough. Indeed law aside, I'm not a believer of pedals. It's such an engineering burden and if it's powered anyway... if they had to have pedal they could do a generator at the pedals so it's electric transmission and avoid the whole gear and chain thing.
