I hate the front end where the Acura A is placed inside a brick. I'm sure it's their implementation of adaptive cruise and brake assist but it's enough to stop me from considering this for myself. The exhaust tips... I just don't know why they'd go away from the duel tips on the concept. Terrible decisions.

Sorry guys. Been watching some other reviews and feel like there’s something off here especially with Yuri on what he’s saying. The other reviews while they agree on certain points seem far more objective when it comes to actual dynamics and other things for the vehicle. The experience itself is marred considering the review from the RDX which has the same power train and a cheaper interior. There was praise there, yet here it’s basically panned as a non-starter. What happened?

I don't think the TLX is considered "entry-level" anymore because it's the new flagship sedan for Acura. It might be between compact & midsize sedan categories but it's by no means an "entry-level" sedan anymore when that designation would go to the ILX in the Acura lineup

Fahd Abiyyi I usually like and appreciate their reviews but I’m starting to feel like these guys really let their personal biases dictate, even before an actual trial run, which cars they’re actually going to to excited about and thoroughly review. The way they kept harping on the concept seemed a bit immature to me. Who cares about the concept at this point, it was a CONCEPT. We’ve seen the production unit for some time now, just give me an objective review of what we actually got! I personally feel AlexonAutos did a much more thorough review of this car. Eleanor Massaro the back is 95% of the concept except for the rear defuser (which is only on the Type-s) and the tail lights. All the lines and shapes from the concept are exactly the same. Idk what you or Yuri are talking about. It’s not as seamless obviously because it’s actually functional in the production model and not a shell. He literally called the back awkward for not being like the concept. So if there was no concept he would like it? Yuri just doesn’t like Acura and it’s pretty obvious. I’m pretty sure having the best selling 3 row luxury SUV of all time in the MDX and the RDX being the best seller in its segment as well speaks for itself. Acura maybe not be as luxurious as a Mercedes but it’s definitely not overlooked. People lease BMW and Mercedes and buy Lexus and Acura.

Acura is also outselling Alfa Romeo 10 to 1. Acura’s sell well because people like them not because they’re cheap. 50k for the MDX and 40k for the RDX is not something people are gonna spend unless they actually like their car. Also German depreciate so much and you can buy used BMW and Audi’s for the same price as used Acura and Lexus which is why people lease German cars.

I think Volvo is nicer than Lexus doesn’t mean they will catch them in sales. Genesis has a terrible dealer network, they aren’t a very well known brand, and they made the mistake by not copying Honda (like Toyota and Nissian did) and just starting a luxury division, but instead tried to make luxury Hyundai’s and then tried to turn that car into its own brand. They put themselves into a tough spot. Which is a shame because they make really nice cars. Even in Q3 2020 Genesis sold 3k cars to Acura’s 40k.

I actually think the exterior looks really nice. Acura did their best to keep it close to the Type S concept, & they made adjustments or changes to make it more production ready. They might've had to make some of the changes for safety & regulation reasons too. Style is subjective so it all depends on everyone's individual taste

Very biased review. It is quite evident that this video was sponsored by Genesis. Lots of appraisal towards the G70 for being the "benchmark" yet they only sold a mere 11 thousand units (U.S) in all of 2019. The 2019 TLX sold more than twice that amount, this new TLX will undoubtedly sell more. It doesn't make sense that you praise the G70 for being so great yet it struggles to walk off of the dealership floors.

Tim Sanders I’m not saying overall sales. I’m talking about yearly, why doesn’t the G70 sell if it’s so « perfect »? It doesn’t make sense. My cousin has a genesis g70 2.0T advanced and the build quality doesn’t feel too good.it’s a nice car with nice materials, but it just doesn’t feel all that premium. There’s also many reports of genesis models catching fire... now THATS bad. Genesis’ looks and performance are there, but it’s not a surprise they don’t sell because the reliability and brand name isn’t there yet.

cesar lol yea that’s the lowest trim G70 lol gettin in a 3.3tt trim and then tell me what you think. The 2.0t is like 36k. The catching fire is isolated incedents and every car has there quirky problems when they launch. Honda/Acura have had a lot of issues with there turbo engines with the gas seeping into the oil. Like I said every car has there problems. Get into a g70 that is similarly priced to the Acura A spec because the 2.0t is 10k less than that A Spec.

I could be wrong but on the outside seems more like a face lift than a redesign. Also was in absolute shock about the torque and HP?! Luxury sport sedans in this class have had these numbers 10 years ago. It’s like it never went up in power. Sad about the slow trans too. Having said that I own an RDX 2019 and love it. I was so anticipating this car, but this review showed it is a let down for the following reasons: 1. Transmission performance is poor and doesn't inspire 'spirited' driving because of the poor gearing 2. The interior is nice but a bit all over the place with button placement and dashboard flow and layout 3. The car doesn't quite live up to the awesome concept car that was shown and is a disappointment in terms of looks and performance. There is a disconnect between the driver and the vehicle, especially with the poorly geared and slow responsive transmission I love Honda Acura but I think they missed the mark on this new 2021 version of the TLX. You guys are doing a great job with your car reviews. Love your format and presentation, especially of accessible cars like this. More!

I'd say test drive it for yourself. The transmission is fine, just need to put it in Sport mode if you want 'spirited' driving, which is what Sport mode was meant for. The button placement is actually quite practical and the touch pad is less distracting then a touch screen after a few days of getting used to it.
