The True Touch Interface is extremely intuitive and works exceptionally well. If Yuri can't figure it out, that's on him, not the car. Don't let his opinion on the infotainment stop you, it works great. Anyone who can't figure it out is too attached to their own ideas of what an infotainment system should be and isn't open to what an infotainment system can be. If you actually own an acura with TTI, like the RDX, it won't take much time at all to become accustomed to the system. If you have the car for a day to test, are using the car mostly for filming, and don't familiarize yourself completely with the system, then of course it's going to feel different. And that's basically true for any new car infotainment system that you are unfamiliar with. Frankly Acura has put a lot of thought into it, not to mention how unsafe a touch screen can be while driving, and the thought and consideration that went toward the TTI clearly went over some reviewer's heads. Also, the comparisons to the Type S Concept are irrelevant. What do you intend to gain by comparing a production vehicle to a concept vehicle? Didn't we all know it wasn't going to be exactly like the concept, hence... Concept? They did a great job translating the concept to production. Lastly, saying the grill and front end are mostly the same from previous models? No, it's not. Period. How can you even argue that it's the same front end? It's a completely different car from the ground up. Why do you think so many people are loving the looks of this 2021 compared to the outgoing model? Sure, It's "the same" in the same way EVERY manufacturer's front end and grill are the same. Obviously they're going to keep the diamond pentagon grill and the jewel eyes. Every mftr keeps their grills and headlines across all models and only updates them iteratively each redesign. Good Lord. Did you expect them to get rid of the diamond pentagon grill and jewel eye headlights that they've been working on for years and finally developed some brand recognition and then just start all over from scratch? Can you believe Acura gave it wheels, a windshield, and tailights too? Looks like every other car out there now doesn't it? Basically a 2007 Acura TL by that measure. I like these guys and their videos. But they REALLY missed it in the commentary on this one. The only thing of note worth accepting are the delays with the transmission and paddle shifters.

Then hates it for not having 360 camera on that trim and Jakub tells him the BMW, Audi, and Mercedes competitors don’t as well and all Yuri says is “well it needs it”. @@212dems I love Hondas but the 10 speed auto trans is sluggish. The only solid built auto honda made is the 8 speed DCT on the 2.4 ILX which in sport drive is very close to a manual feel with excellent paddle shifters that are quick to shift up and down. The torque converter in standard mode is better for everyday driving also with pretty smooth feel. It's why after someone destroyed my 2018 accord Sport 2.0t I bought a Civic Si which didn't last very long it was missing to many creature converts though, so that wasn't working as much as I like manuals. Now because I hated hondas CVT's and the automatics Honda makes I almost gave up until I drove the more old school 2020 ILX A Spec the transmission sold the car with updated 2.4 version from the 9th gen Si. Plus I don't know in my case if I could ever get passed the 10 speed transmission feel after my accord it's worse after you own it for awhile. As the ILX has new school exterior styling with a old school sportier feel with that Vtech K24A7 engine that is bullet proof. It's like having 9th gen Civic with luxurious interior except this has a DCT auto-manual trans so I don't have to row. Transmissions matter more to me then horsepower because if you can't put the power properly to the ground in a enjoyable manner then what's the point. My CR-V with the CVT trans is a belt driven loud wind-up toy that never shifts.

I could be wrong but on the outside seems more like a face lift than a redesign. Also was in absolute shock about the torque and HP?! Luxury sport sedans in this class have had these numbers 10 years ago. It’s like it never went up in power. Sad about the slow trans too. Having said that I own an RDX 2019 and love it. Just confused feeling like I’m looking at a car review from 10 years ago. Just super under whelming.

@@kristians2704 did you say Genesis? Acura outsells Genesis 10 to 1. Genesis isn’t even close to INFINITI’s sales numbers let alone Acura’s. I’m pretty sure having the best selling 3 row luxury SUV of all time in the MDX and the RDX being the best seller in its segment as well speaks for itself. Acura maybe not be as luxurious as a Mercedes but it’s definitely not overlooked. People lease BMW and Mercedes and buy Lexus and Acura.
@AFCompany4 жыл бұрын
@@kristians2704 Acura’s are not cheap. Cheaper than Germans but not cheap by any means. By your logic INFINITI and Alfa Romeo should be selling as well as Acura then. Acura is also outselling Alfa Romeo 10 to 1. Acura’s sell well because people like them not because they’re cheap. 50k for the MDX and 40k for the RDX is not something people are gonna spend unless they actually like their car. Also German depreciate so much and you can buy used BMW and Audi’s for the same price as used Acura and Lexus which is why people lease German cars.
@AFCompany4 жыл бұрын
@@kristians2704 also Genesis is not surpassing Acura anytime soon. The products they make may be more high quality and nice but they won’t get anywhere near Acura’s sales numbers for years. I think Volvo is nicer than Lexus doesn’t mean they will catch them in sales. Genesis has a terrible dealer network, they aren’t a very well known brand, and they made the mistake by not copying Honda (like Toyota and Nissian did) and just starting a luxury division, but instead tried to make luxury Hyundai’s and then tried to turn that car into its own brand. They put themselves into a tough spot. Which is a shame because they make really nice cars. Even in Q3 2020 Genesis sold 3k cars to Acura’s 40k.

@@kristians2704 .....if they get supply chain sorted? You make it sound very easy!! Conceptualizing and actualising a product are practically more easier than getting the product to the market and distribute them successfully! It takes years to get a proper supply chain and God forbid if serious issues pop up with the product.

Maybe they've not heard of any other competitive car? Acura got to a point where Hyundai and Kia have cars with much more luxurious interiors, more power and higher performance...Then you have Genesis which is leagues above any Acura.
