I've driven S Classes, E Classes, MLs, GLKs, and GLEs and they were all great cars so I figured the C Class would be great as well. Drove a 2010 and a 2016 C300 and man they are junk. Hard ass leather seats and everything feels so poorly put together. They at least updated the infotainment in the new one which is nice, but the old infotainments were a joke. It felt as awful as the CLA did, but just roomier.

Overall this is a much more comprehensive review than TheStraightPipes (who were too hung up on parking pawl, the concept car, and the voice-recognition of "Yakub W"). SavageGeese, Alex-on-Autos, and now Throttle House all like the new TLX (especially the driving dynamics), so I couldn't care less if it can't voice-dial "Yakub W" with Apple CarPlay.

@@the-boring-car-guy Oh, I'll disagree about that. SP got into the habit of comparing everything to a high end performance car. If it wasn't a Lambo or R8 they didn't give a hoot, and you could see it in the videos. Bingo! If you're purchasing the car for long-term use (like I plan to), the "Honda" name underneath this brand really sells it over the competition I looked at. Maintenence cost alone scared me away from all German cars, then when my Hyundai's engine needed a complete replacement after just 93k miles, the Genesis G70 suddenly didn't look so appealing anymore. Alfa Romeo... Gosh, other than looks, why would you ever invest in that? Completely unreliable vehicles. So yeah... Acura and Lexus are the safe choices for people valuing good bang for buck and reliability for long-term ownership.

I got my wife the A-spec TLX and she absolutely loves the car. She also absolutely hates when I drive it as I'm far more aggressive behind the wheel as you might also be as a husband who love to drive. Couple things I found, it won't hold a cruise above 90MPH, it turns off at 130MPH but it very fun to drive. It's not my 94 twin turbo Z32 fun, but sitting in the seats hitting turns it does stick very well and does center you very quickly out of those turns. It wouldn't be the car for me but taking the wife and kids on trips I still get to enjoy the ride while my wife and daughter yell dad slow down.. That is the issue I found, it makes you want to drive it under preforming or not it has that feel. Not many cars have better seats IMO, designed by an orthopedic they are fantastic for long drives and the seat cooling stops that swamp arse you get in leather. I would also say the A-spec looks far better then the base model with the extras you get.

if it hasn't been said yet, on most Acura's there is a sequence you can do with the traction control button and foot brake to completely disable traction and stability management. Used to do this on my first gen tlx in winter for some fun. Just Google it, its over at acurazine. No need to pull fuses. Unless they changed it

Yes! All waiting for both the type s cars coming tlx&mdx. As for Honda gear selectionr it takes a min but you do get used to the transmission. Prefer those buttons vs bmw shifter. The buttons on Honda are faster to use and not, easier to use no extra buttons to hit to put the car in drive or reverse, each button is its own. You can't put the car in reverse by accident drive down reverse back. BMW i had to look to make sure what gear I is in, one time if it wasn't for the camera popping up i might have taken of in reverse if I was rushing 😅. LoL wait didn't both you guys do that lol. Just had to say my 2 cents. Give the button transmissionon the Honda a trial week or 2 you won't be looking down.. Much love keep up the good work.

@@mnoovurvi what? It’s much more reliable than its German competition, it’s more luxurious than a normal car for much cheaper than German car prices. Plus SH-AWD is one of the best in the industry with Audi Quattro system. What do you mean they don’t do any of these things well? Acura was outselling Mercedes and BMW in their first year and are the reason Toyota made Lexus and Nissan made INFINITI. They proved there is space for Japanese luxury cars. However Acura is a more luxury performance based brand.
