that 9 blade sounds spectacular. reminds me of my best friends 6.0 before he passed. it sounded like you were on the tarmac while a learjet was taking off. looking forward to seeing what you all have in store for the 7.3 next.

All the hype for a (supposed) premium turbo at a premium price. I ordered an 11 blade. Here is my initial take. Needing the turbo in the short-term I contacted them by phone and inquired the delivery time. We discussed my location. They said approximately 7 days 15 days for delivery! Ordered on a Thursday morning. Late Friday, I get a message I have to verify the order is legit by giving a code from my bank statement. Shipping label is not printed out until Monday. Thanks for the initial delay. I have no idea on how much time it was between the label and the actual picking up by UPS. The package apparently was put on the slow boat from Arizona as total wait time for the arrival was 15 days. Far from the 7 days that was indicated when I called them informing them of my location. During installation, I discovered the housing was never drilled and tapped for the VGT wiring harness clip. A clip and new screw is provided in the parts and I would also have been willing to reuse my previous clip. The housing has a cast area for the provision of the clip yet it wasn't drilled and tapped. Why would KC provide a clip and screw in the parts if for some reason they designed it not to have this feature, or better yet why did they not drill and tap to properly install the wiring harness and protected from the heat and vibration? The jury is still out as to the performance of the turbo, but at this point I am bewildered on why KC has such a great reputation. Their delay with the shipping as well as the missing harness mount capability may keep me from ever recommending or ordering another turbo from them. I did a review on their website and it will also be interesting to see if they even post the review because if they don't they will definitely lose my business in the future.

Hey, that sounds like a rough experience and we are sorry for that. We have been getting absolutely inundated with orders for the past 3 months and things are not slowing down. We are so grateful for the support and are trying to get our internal operations moving and manufacturing quicker, but these things take time. As for the harness clip threads, we have found its better to keep the VGT wires away from sitting right on the heat in the long run. What is your Order number? I am in marketing, but i can look it up and see what happened.

I've got a stage 2r, can I put an 11 blade in it. I most be gettin old or something cuz the s2r jetfire drives me crazy!

lol dont feel bad, we are all getting older! The 11 blade is only available in the stage 1 sizing at this time. In larger sizes and especially ball bearing form, it spooled up too quickly. So we have to make some revisions before we can release larger size 11 blades.

The 11 is only available for the stage 1 for now. Next week we have another video scheduled that will explain why an 11 blade stage 2 was not further developed.

The only advantage of the 13 is that it makes zero sound. Other than that, the 11 is better in every way.

@@KCTURBOS what turbo would work best for a truck with stock injectors? I’m on a big lift with 37”s and I’m assuming stock gearing. Looking for lower egts specifically.

@@CameronFeltz 10/10 go with KC Jetfire 11 blade stage 1. You want the quickest possible spool up with those big tires. To get lower EGTs, you want to tow right around 2200 RPMS and you will be gold.
