Thank you for having the literal only video on KZbin that ACTUALLY compares these 2 ratchets. Everyone else compares it to the high-speed or has the older, brushed-style Snap On ratchet

One thing I like about the Snap On cordless ratchets is the button style trigger and glad they kept it.I currently have the short neck brute in 3/8 drive and love it.I clean it wiping it down with tub o' towels and I don't use brake clean on it.I have the 1/4 drive fuel ratchets, already had my long reach sent in for warranty once.Selector stuck on me which I had to use a pair of pliers to change directions on it.The anvil and hammer assembly was wore out which was replaced

I actually like the low torque of the brushed ratchets. It took me years before wanting to try a battery powered ratchet because I skinned so many knuckles as a kid with the old air ratchets.

I got one of these the other week off the truck for a killer deal he had a repo full kit and was still practically brand new and got the ratchet 2 batteries and the charger for only $270 couldn’t pass it up for that price! I was actually going to buy the Milwaukee 3/8 ratchet kit cause it was only $299 vs over $600 for the snap on one but when he had that repo deal I went with the snap on and have got to say am super happy with it too!

Just traded my long neck fuel ratchet in on a brute. I love most of my Milwaukee tools, but the newer ratchets aren’t one of them. I still have an old brushed Milwaukee 1/4 drive and just took home the old 3/8. Liked the ergonomics of them much better than the fuel. I disagree on the torque output of a ratchet. I don’t care how fast it goes, but nothing is more annoying than trying to take a fastener off, especially locknuts, and the ratchet will go for a second then stop and you have to manually crank on it till it gets to an easier spot.

I hear you about that Milwaukee paddle. I have the extended length 3/8" Fuel M12, and up until last week I would use a Hercules cordless for most of my needs just because I preferred it to the Milwaukee from an ergonomic standpoint. I just retired my Hercules ratchet to home use, having replaced it at the shop with the CTR861 yesterday afternoon. This new Snap On is awesome.

Ya know, I hear a LOT of folks say Snap-On is a waste of money. I’m sure y’all hear that as often as I do. This proves different. I guess there’s a reason why people still have the same Snap-On tools from 30+ years ago. I will almost always pay that extra dough on quality tools to make my job faster, easier and to have that sense of security and assurance.

Awesome comparison. I personally like the paddle. I will say there is one massive reason I'll take the Milwaukee over the Snap-On. Price! Tool and batteries. Obviously if it is your every day all day job and you use the ratchet 20X a day and prefer the Snap-On, it becomes far more worth it. For a home gamer and social mediaer like me, the Milwaukee makes more sense. As silly as it is though, I def prefer the light temperature on that Snap-On. The instant torque seems excellent as well. Good option if you can afford it!

I think snap on makes some of the most perfect power ratchets. The issue is the price and options for the lineup. Other than the ratchet and maybe paddle gun there's not anything I would buy in the line that milwaukee would have that's far superior as of now and the last long time. Love the stuff just cant drop 600 on a kit when you get the junky but decent gen1 milwaukee for 80 90 bucks tool only. Love the content no hate just cant bring myself to their battery line.

Honestly, I'll stick with my cheap chinese Milwakee knockoff. $70 VonHaus from Amazon. I have pulled and rebuilt at least 15 engines with it, and it is still going strong. It ain't big on high end torque, but for me that's OK, as it won't tend to break small fasteners. It's small and compact and waaaaaaaay better than ratcheting out long bolts by hand. And it still has a light.
