Its not about "quality" of these amps, its about the performance and durabilty. They are pretty much bulletproof. Ive blown several subs just messing around and the amp is just fine. They made sure to give it safe guards. Yeah, they could make the build quality more solid and use higher end components such as the style of rca and the fans, but the technology in these amps is actually ahead of most of the competition, especially at the price point. 💯💯
@Jayski256 Жыл бұрын
Facts if you run the amp properly they are everyone loves to talk about how they blow but it’s the same people that try to run them off a stock 120 amp alt w 4g wire. People with proper electrical they last years. I kept my 3k for 2 years pushing my old vxfs sold it to a guy still using it today. Definitely a great budget amp.
@bailey2517 Жыл бұрын
Have you not seen like 3 of his taramps he blew in the past? Pretty sure at least 2 of them were because the protection circuits didn't work like they should. I'm not buying an expensive amp just for it to blow when I accidentally touch the wire to the battery or whatever.

It looks bigger and beefier because it is just a bigger amp, it's whatever sized taramps that will make 8k at 2 ohm it just has a regulated power supply that cuts voltage below 2 ohm so it stays at 8k, it's probably similar to a md12k or bit bigger. Fortunately it's priced similar to normal 8k's so it's a good deal.

Hey brother love your videos!!! Ok so my brand new set up is the Skar evl 12 in the Skar box at 1 ohm with a taramps smart 3 bass amp. I used the volt meter to set the gain for the subs (square root of 1250rms= 35.6v) and used a 40hz tone with the stock head at 75% volume and flat EQ. No amp for the stock interior speakers and I’m tied in to the rear deck factory speaker via rca adapter. I currently have the Skar 4 gauge wire kit with a 120amp fuse and it hits hard. I just installed it today and on one of the songs I believe the amp went into protect for just a second on me on one of the hard hitting notes. Other than that it ran great all day. With this setup, why do you think it went into protect on that hard bass note? Do I need to worry about this single 12 draining my battery? I have a Duralast platinum AGM battery. HAVE I CHOSEN GOOD MATCHING PARTS, WIRES, ETC, and do I need to change/upgrade anything??? What should I set the other knobs to on the smart 3 bass amp? Love your videos thank you so much. You taught me a lot about how to do this first sub setup.

My car stereo journey… Started with a down firing kicker 10, then 12, then Skar svr 10, then evl 12. At that point I was running a 3k amp and power became an issue. I am now back to 2 skar sdr 10s and a 1200 watt amp with the big 3 and an AGM. I want the most bass possible for the cheapest amount without having to add an extra battery or high output alternator. So I found the best route was the skar sdr 10s with skar 1200.1D amp kicker line output converter, skar 0 gauge OFC wiring kit with 320 amp fuse, and big 3. Total cost on Amazon was around $500. Thanks for the video!

@evilinside5984 Жыл бұрын
@ericwarnock704- The (1)- Bass Smart 8k, wired @ 1/2 ohm, and rising to 1.5 ohms= 3x impedance rise= approx. 8+ k after rise. Because this Bass Series is designed to make great power between 1/2 ohm to 2 ohm. If parker were to hook up both= (2)- Bass Smart 8k's, each @ 1 ohm, they would see the same 3x impedance rise= 3 ohm power, per 8k= approx. 6,350 watts per amp, so x 2= approx. 12,700 wats total after rise. Because these Bass Smart 8ks do approx. 4,600 @ 4 ohms(as seen on an amp dyno), and around 8,100 @ 2 ohms, so in the middle= 3 ohms= approx. 6,350 per Bass Smart 8k. To get the maximum benefit/power from these (2)- Smart Bass 8ks, they would have to be wired @ 1/2 ohm each. But testing both Smart Bass 8ks, vs the Deaf Bonce Aak 20,000.1 would be great to see.

I have 3 of the bass8ks in my demo build and I’ve daily driven it for over 2 years now with zero amp issues and Dec no rca issues. I’ve had amps with them and notice no difference at all, hell I even had an rca break off in a Tiffany before and had to push it out from the inside. But I always just plug them in and that’s that. Never understood why people care so much. It’s part of what keeps the cost so affordable through taramps and it’s IMO a perfect trade off for something so un noticeable and negligible to most, such as the rca inputs, and tuning knobs. 💁🏼♂️ but good review as always man! Definitely Looking Into Taramps For When My Digital Designs M5 Dies... If It Ever Dies hahah Its Been 5 Years In My Daily Driver And I Bought It Used. Longest Lasting Amp Ive Ever Owned. I Have A Taramps 2k 4 Channel And Its Great. Ive Had It For About 2 Years, Only Issue I Have With That One Is It Doesn't Turn On When Its 40F Or Lower. I Contacted Taramps And They Blew Me Off And Said The Amp Was Physically Freezing The Contacts Inside. My DD M5 Works 40F And Below. I Think Its A Glitch With Their Thermal Protection. Anyway I Run My Subs At 0.5Ohm But Id Like To Series Parrallel Them To 2 Ohm For Better Efficiency/ Stronger Motor Force So That Way Its Less Strain On My Electrical. Right Now Its Hard To Keep the Voltage Up Full Tilt And I Have 2 Mechman 320 Amp Each On A Seperate 6 Rib Belt. The 8 Banks Of Ultra Caps Help With The Hits And Burps But Once They Are Drained From Contstant Tones Its Iffy. My Lower Tuning Port Also Rises My Impedance From 0.5 Ohms To Around 6 Ohms Which Is Kind Of Nice Becasue It Hardly Takes Any Power From Amp And Electical Yet The Bass Goes Nuts On Like 3000 Watts hahah.

would be kool to do db test with the 20k then the 2 smart 8ks also to see the ohm rise on the differnce maybe from the the old 8k to the smart 8k also sence they sapost to do same power at 2ohm if there a way to wire both amps to 2ohms to see if they do same power and see if it sounds better its nice there sapost to be 1/2 to 2 ohm for same power that gives peoples lots of options i actually am trying something differnt i bought a ds18 8k 2ohm model and running 4 2000rms 12in wolframs duel 4ohm at 2ohm and im saprized

He would definitely have more power with the 2 smart 8s. The aak 20000 is rated at 18 v. 16000@16v (1ohm) 12000@14.4 (1ohm) 8000@14.4 (2ohm) 5000@14.4 (2ohm)

When you going to hook up the second one? It would be nice to see one on 4 and the other on the other 4

I HAVE A QUESTION, THAT'S A SMART 8K WITH (1 INPUT) AND (1 OUTPUT) RCA CONNECTORS,WHY IS THERE ONE SET OF RCA CONNECTORS PULLED IN THE AMPLIFIER WHEN YOU NEED A 1-Male to 2-female splitter to use those types of amplifier?

Can I buy a after market bass knob to work with the amp? I heard I could use a RCA bass knob?

Did you test the 20K. Seemed less exciting. Like this new one. Should try Both together.

Hello, how are you? Do you have the taramps screwed directly to the seat? Or is it with a wooden base or something underneath? since mine burned screwing it directly to the seat :(
