Welcome to Part IV of the Woody Allen, Mia Farrow Saga. On August 4, 1992, Woody Allen drove to Mia Farrow's house in Connecticut for a scheduled visit with his children. Upon his visit, he would be accused of sexually abusing their seven-year-old daughter, Dylan. It's a claim that Woody Allen has vehemently denied for decades. In this video we will take a deep look into the attic allegation as well as Woody and Mia's 1993 custody case through the lens of the 90's.

I can’t believe how many people want to give him a pass on Soon-Yi because she isn’t biologically his, and they didn’t go public until she was an adult. She called him dad and he was that figure from 9 years old on. It’s wrong and evil what he’s done- regardless of any excuses.

My take: Woody Allen had a long history of sexual relationships with underage girls, which this series previously covered. His current wife, Soon Yi, was an underage girl when he groomed and took pornographic photos of her, which he placed on the mantle for Mia to see. When you add that Soon Yi is Mia’s daughter, and sister to Woody’s own children, a girl to whom he was a father figure since the age of 9, it’s hard to even wrap your head around this degree of sickness and evil. As for Dylan’s report about Woody molesting her, the graphic details she shared couldn’t have been conjured from the imagination of 7 year old. Whether or not Mia is a highly flawed person/mother is irrelevant to the crime in question. As for Woody suggesting that Mia coached Dylan, I’m not buying it. Based on Woody’s history of pedophilic activity and a 7 year old’s graphic description, along with testimony of family, friends, therapist, and the custody Judge who ruled that Allen “repeatedly engaged in grossly inappropriate behavior with Dylan and that measures must be taken to protect her,” it’s obvious who’s lying.
@filmmakerdanielclements
@filmmakerdanielclements 5 ай бұрын
@julietteyork6293 Huh? What history of pedophilic activity are you referring to, exactly? That doesn't exist. Soon-Yi was an unrelated adult woman. Mia was younger than her when she dated frank sinatra (who was also older than woody was when he dated Soon-Yi). I agree it's inappropriate, weird, and completely legal. But, pedophilic? Ask Mia if she felt her relationship with sinatra was pedophilic, when she was even younger and Soon-Yi was.

@@julietteyork6293 Well aware of this entire series, including what's not included, and aware of woody's past, in which a history of pedophilia does not exist. 16 was the age of consent in New York in the 60's. 17 in the 70's/80's (still gross, I agree, but perfectly legal). So, exactly what "lifelong history of sexual relationships with underage girls" are you referencing? Specifically?

@@Nik110512 She was not underage. She was the legal age of consent (17) before they even started filming "Manhattan". It’s disgusting how no one but her mother stood up for her. Them saying in court that you need overwhelming evidence to prove a child was molested such as an STD is disgusting. So if someone can hide it, have no witnesses, and tell the child to be quiet then they’ll never be found guilty? Horrible.

OMG, he talks about how he had many opportunities to be a molester. He doesn’t say “I would never harm a child. I am not attracted to children. That’s offensive.” He said he could have done it if he wanted. He DID behave inappropriately with Soon-yi. He likely molested or groomed others, too. Edit: I don’t know if he did what Mia/Dylan claim he did, but he did something he shouldn’t.

Honestly if you watch his films the theme of daddy daughter incest is pervasive. In Stardust Memories: Sandy leverages his power-position to rope Dorrie (Charlotte Rampling) into a relationship, and in his strongly art-directed apartment, they have this creepy exchange: Sandy[referring to Dorrie’s father]: What is this guy not an expert in? He's a tennis player and an antique connoisseur and a wine expert, and he’s probably gorgeous, right, with the greying temples, and the aquiline profile. Dorrie: A great looking man. Whenever mother was away in her sanitarium, the ladies, they flocked around him. Sandy: And what about you, did you have a little crush on him, you can admit this to me if you like. (Starts rubbing her shoulders) Woody Allen, as Sandy Bates, and Dorrie (Charlotte Rampling), discussing Dorrie’s relationship with her father. Dorrie: Sure, we had a little flirt. Sandy: A little small flirt? Mother away getting shock treatment, and the only beautiful daughter home? Long lingering breakfasts with Dad? Is this getting nauseating? Dorrie: Yeah. No competition for my mother, because she was very beautiful. Later, Sandy is sitting with dark, gloomy Daisy, whose boyfriend is the film professor, confessing, without details, about an erotic dream she had about Sandy, when he is approached by two teenage girls who want his autograph. “We think you’re so sexy,” they say. Woody Allen, as movie director Sandy Bates, signing an autograph for teenage girls who tell him they think he’s sexy, immediately after Daisy (Jessica Harper, at right) tells Sandy she had an erotic dream about him. “I’m sexy?” Sandy says, and then to Daisy: “They think I’m sexy,” as we cut to an argument: Sandy: Come on, Dorrie. Dorrie: Don't lie to me. You're attracted to her. Sandy: I'm not attracted to her. What are you talking about? Dorrie: Staring at her all through dinner. Giving each other looks. Sandy: Stop it. She's 14 years old. Dorrie: Don't you think I see it? Sandy: She's not even 14, she's 13-and-a-half. Dorrie: I don't care. I used to play those games with my father, so I know. I've been through all that. Sandy: What kind of games? You think I'm flirting with your kid cousin? Dorrie: You can't take your eyes off her! Sandy: She was sitting opposite me. Dorrie: You smile at her! Sandy: I smile at her. I'm a friendly person. What do you want? She's a kid! This is stupid! I don't wanna have this conversation. Dorrie: Don't tell me it's stupid! I used to do that with my father, across the table, all those private jokes. I know. Sandy: You know how ridiculous this sounds? What are you saying? That I'm flirting with your kid cousin? I mean, doesn't that sound . . . That's absurd.

What child that age in therapy for "extreme shyness" would not react in a very similar way to the way she is reported to? Recantment and all. The fact anybody would be able to doubt this just shows super low emotional intelligence. This situation looks crystal clear to me.

I was strongly reminded of how my grandfather was, long before any inappropriate touching happened. He was an immature narcissist, he was completely unable to relate to children...or anyone I suspect. He saw how other children were towards their grandpa and expected me to behave like this although he did absolutely nothing to inspire affection and trust, on the contrary he scared me. Even as a child I realised he had no interest in me as anything but a source of attention and if he didn't get it he acted all hurt and complained until my mother, who could barely stand to be in the same room with him, forced me to "be nice to grandpa" under threat of a beating.

It makes no sense for Mia Farrow to be inventing a case of abuse on ONE incident. If she was truly trying to paint him as an abuser, she would have “created” more than one incident of abuse AND used more than one child. I believe her. And I also believe Dylan, who as. GROWN WOMAN, chose to participate in a documentary and repeat the same story 20 plus years later . She chose to put herself at risk as an adult, to share her story. It wasn’t Mia’s story it was Dylan’s.

It's unfortunately quite common for parents to accuse another of child abuse during a hyper-litigious, acrimonious separation. And she did accuse him of also assaulting the 4 year old boy, too. But, dropped that unfounded accusation. No one seems to remember that she made it. What really doesn't make any sense is child abusers with one single victim. That almost never happens. Even predators in public, high profile cases: Epstein, Cosby, Weinstein. R. Kelly, Roger Ailes… Catholic Priests… it’s NEVER just one accuser. There’s often a list of victims and a history of behaviour going waaay back. Either way, if Mia and Dylan have the moral high ground, explain why they were willing to shut up about the whole and never go public so long as Allen paid $7 million. Does offering silence for a settlement sound like they care about exposing an abuser?

@FLK-BC
@FLK-BC 5 ай бұрын
Think about it: If you're gonna argue that 'Woody molesting multiple children on multiple occasions' makes for a much more plausible accusation than "Woody molesting one single child on one single occasion", then you're clearly saying that what Woody's actually accused of (one kid, one incident) is farfetched. Mia hyping a farfetched, implausible claim does not somehow indicate that the claim is true. It might just mean that Mia isn't a genius at deception. Seriously, imagine a fifth grader telling his teacher "Of course the dog really ate my homework, if I were lying I'd come up with something better than that." Now rewind a moment: In the late 60s, right after divorcing Frank Sinatra, Mia went to live with her (at the time) bff, the singer/songwriter Dory Previn. According to Dory, there was one song of hers in particular that Mia was especially fond of, that she would walk the hallways humming and singing. The song was titled With My Daddy In The Attic: *It's a song about father/daughter incest *The father molests the daughter in the attic *The father uses the attic because it's hidden away from other adults and other children who might otherwise witness the crime *The father implores the daughter to play with toys while he molests *The father plays the clarinet, just like Woody Mia admitted on the witness stand that she was familiar with the song. You can't deny that that's extremely suspicious.

Being devils advocate ....Mia isn't very smart. I mean like really an airhead. I do however believe Dylan was telling the truth but had Mia protected her by actaully supervising him around her and not just gone off shopping (wtaf!!) This wouldnt have hapoened...at least not THAT time. Mia is a pretty shitty parent in a whole different way than how woody is a shiitty parent but nevertheless she is. She didnt protect her kid. @@ArtistCreek A little kid running around the house yelling "Hide me! Hide me!!" is as normal as a little kid wanting to eat ice cream instead of vegetables. That brings me some relief, as did the opinion of Justice Wilks that was presented in this video. I found that Yale report to be wildly inappropriate...even just the first line which states with confidence that abuse did not occur. If they had said something like "there is insufficient evidence to conclude that abuse occurred" or something along those lines, that would come across as maybe credible. I could go on about how ridiculous the rest of that report was but I'll stop here for now. :)

That's really interesting. I gotta say, I'm skeptical whether that's true, but maybe it is. Can I ask, how do you have this knowledge? Can you name a specific university? (I'd really love to email a professor 😊) The vast majority of the report is sealed from the public. Only the official, final conclusion and a list of who was interviewed on which dates is public. Beyond that Dr Leventhal's deposition is public and a very, very tiny portion is shown in the HBO doc, mostly blurred out. How much of it can they actually study as a "cautionary tale"?

I have been plagued by thoughts about this since the last episode and cannot let go of the fact that he is still out there in the world, with access to little girls. HE IS DISGUSTING. I think I hate this guy more than anyone on the planet. I'm sure that being beaten daily by his mother has played some role in generating this malformed human, but I still can't spare a shred of compassion for him. All the compassion is for Dylan. It's hard to listen to him tell such a wildly different version of events from everyone else. It's infuriating. He even tries to gaslight the interviewers who are presumably neutral third parties. Interviewer: "Did you do this?" Woody: "Be logical about it!" As if the interviewer is being illogical and irrational for even asking the question. Would a normal, innocent person ever answer this way? Interviewer: "It's been said that you've taken Dylan to bed with just underwear on and wrapped your body around her..." Woody: "Can you picture it?!" WTAF. Would a normal, innocent person answer this way?

Yeah! Mia is just the same as the man that married HER DAUGHTER who was 35 years younger than him. Even if the story about Dylan isn’t true, there’s still that glaring fact. He married a very young woman who had been, for all intents and purposes but without the papers, his step daughter. He’s even said himself she saw him in a paternal way. That’s a million times more creepy. This is what he said about Soon Yi fairly recently, “I was paternal. She responded to someone paternal. I liked her youth and energy. She deferred to me, and I was happy to give her an enormous amount of decision-making just as a gift and let her take charge of so many things. She flourished.” He “gave her a decision-making gift”?! What kind of man says any of that about his wife and that he “gives” them a part in the decision making? Let alone referring to it as a gift. He’s so gracious, giving her the gift of having any say in what happens around her. That shows exa to how he sees that relationship. Creepy AF.

Your research and presentation are STELLAR, thank you for doing this---you employed so many brilliant methods but I really appreciate you explaining more on nannies Allison, Kristi, and Monica, i.e., who is on who's payroll; being young women hired by rich, famous people; their shared and divergent experiences. Super human of you and knowing more about all the people is vital. Often times we obsess on the celebs, but the testimonies are coming from caregivers who know the children, are integrated in a the complicated family dynamics on the everyday, deal with the emotions and influenced by economics. Woody evades questions a lot by asking the interviewer or reader queries on what is logical. It is an effective discursive tool bc it brings you in, asks you to make the smart choice, and elevates your ego as the receiver of info---all without actually answering the question. Brilliantly manipulative. Child abuse is NOT logical, that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Mia is also manipulative but uses emotions and jugular statements. I find the videotaping of Dylan awful. She is traumatized. In a way, both Woody and Mia's responses come very much from their oeuvres as writer and actor---the communication styles they have found effective in their lives. I believe Dylan, she was abused by Woody. I believe Allison saw Woody put his face in her lap and she disassociated. Dylan disassociating is a common thread coming from her and is very much the response to SA and having to tell this testimony on demand by her mothers and to so many people. That is where victims of SA are abused again Is their story compelling and outsiders analyze it and talking about something so traumatic is terrible. I also believe the other children who say Mia could be emotionally erratic, mean to the older girls, and favor the white children. I think there were a lot of red flags by Woody with Soon-Yi, Dylan and the other children that Mia ignored when she wanted to be with Woody so desperately. Even the children who have no SA allegation have stories of Woody sharing "secret" moments that they "won't tell Mom." Mia sounds like a narcissistic mom. Woody is a groomer with the "secret" convos and definite disgust of the "mother" figure. Sad, sad family...Woody being buds with Epstein and adopting two small girls really doesn't help the legacy...obviously, we never know reality but this case is so impactful on families, SA, etc. Thank you again for such layered work.

I believe Dylan I'm listening to Woody's rebuttals as he is interviewed and I noticed a few things. One, he is careful to say "why would I do this" and not "no, I did not do this". If I needed to lie my way out of situation, I'd want to try and say as many truthful, open ended statements as possible to come across as relaxed and honest. He accomplishes this by saying only "why would I do this" and "why would I do that". Well, predators of children may very well wonder what does motivate them! So, he is actually telling the truth but not in the way his supporters believe. Two and this actually shocked me, was how his eyes changed when the interview said "the attic", as soon as the place of the event is mentioned his eyes enlarged and he had a satisfied, happy look on his face that was absent the moment before. I noticed his pupils enlarge which also a sign of arousal. Just saying. He also can't account for the 20 minutes. Three, I see Christie and Monica's and even Moses' denials as blame shifting. No one wants to live with the fact that this happened under their nose, on their watch. Four, I can tell you for a fact he told at least one lie in that interview. He said he "had a great relationship" with his parents or that he had a good upbringing. Yet, I have heard him interview his mother asking her why she abused him from your previous video. So right there, this man proves that he lies to cover up abuse. He has proven who was with Sun Yi, idk how anyone believes his innocence.

I have some very real concerns about this situation. Woody is a creeper. Point blank period. Multiple people have said he was strangely obsessed with Dylan. I think it was painfully obvious he was lying in his interview, especially clear when asked flat out did he encourage Dylan to suck his thumb. I mean Mia was asking her friends if that was normal YEARS before the molestation accusations were made. And he slipped...he said his 6yr andv4 yr old daughters.... was the other daughter ever questioned? Neither of those 2 are fit parents. She literally went off shopping but was SO AFRAID he would do something inappropriate with Dylan. Would you do that? This case was a muddy mess and had it not gone through 18 therapists and multiple shrinks , nannys, friends and doctors before being reported to the actual authorities. Had Mia picked her up and taken her directly to the hospital and called the police he may be in prison right now. It was her own ridiculous and ineffective parenting choices that allowed him to walk free. Woody is gross. He was screwing a girl that was being raised as his step child crosses a boundary that shouldnt be crossed. He has always been a nut. But I lost all respect for Diane Keaton and many other celebs who have chosen to act like f-ing his step daughter is normal!! DISGUSTING...ALL OF THEM. Him having the capacity to sleep with her and photograph her nude absolutely points to him being a predator. @@Ausgar-yc1yl

@@Ausgar-yc1yl he assisted in her raising and was HER father-figure from the age of 10?! Regardless of whether or not he adopted her legally, he was in her life as a "father" figure. It almost sounds like you're DEFENDING a guy, who helped raise her from the age of 10 and the MOMENT he felt she was "woman" enough, he started screwing her?? Wtf? By some reports, she was 15 and others', she was 16 or 17. Bottome line?? He's a sick POS and no amount of "semantics" or splitting of hairs will ever change that.

@@Ausgar-yc1yl every single response I've seen you post, it is HEAVILY implied that you are defending his behaviour. You're right. Facts DO matter. And the fact is, she was NOT 19 when the photos were taken and he WAS her father figure right up until he blew the family up by sleeping with her. As a society, we have norms and mores that we typically adhere to. He is a sick, sick man. Watch his movies?? His personal preferences have oozed into his films for decades. You will never convince anyone that he isn't a sick individual, by splitting hairs. I don't care if he legally adopted her. He helped raised her from childhood til he began sleeping with her. Period. He groomed her AND her adopted sister.

It’s not the other children’s responsibility OR other people’s responsibility to make sure your children are protected from a sexual predator within your home. Why would you leave them alone knowing he was going to be there? That’s neglect, PERIOD! Additionally, the interviewer asking Woody questions about accusations like he would admit to doing the disgusting things he did? No. He’s a pervert.

Not to mention, even though Dylan has naturally pouty chubby features, you can see a droopiness and sadness in her eyes, especially whenever she is around Woody.

After watching all 3 I can say Bee has done it again! No surprise there, though. Your research is so thorough and your presentation so impeccable that I end up feeling I was there in some odd way. You have a way of presenting topics without bias that sadly disappeared about 50 years ago. You're way too young to have been trained that way, so you must just have "the gift." I hope you stay with it. We need you!! I've learned that the topic doesn't matter as long as you produced the work. Hope you have a Very Merry Christmas and a beautiful New Year! 🎅 🎄 ❤ 🎄

So let me get this straight, hes having an affair with Mia's adopted daughter .....but hes got enough boundaries not to interfere with another daughter ...hmmm Woody is an evil entity.

Woody Allen having a consensual affair with someone who is not his daughter is not somehow evidence that he would molest his own daughter - That doesn't make any sense. Woody Allen having a consensual affair with a young adult is not somehow evidence that he would molest a 7 year old - That doesn't make any sense.
