The so called bands today have no idea how to make good music plus civilization was different then. I hitch hiked across the country and people picked you up and had no worries. Man I miss that music and those days.

Man I feel old! When this was taped, I was working for the Mass Army Guard as a medical crew member on UH-1's. Seven months later, I was hired as an air traffic controller. I am now retired and bumping 70 -- to all of you young folks out there, time goes faster than you think! I look at these videos now and reflect on who in them is now gone from this planet...

Dickey plays the same way you would do the air guitar. He hits every note and chord hard and clean and he can keep it going on and on and its always so fresh....not every gig, but when he hits it hard on the nose...damn. Just listen to one way out 12/31/71 New Orleans warehouse... obviously i can name a ton more... Hollywood florida 73 in memory of etc...opening song and mountain jam....the dude is super natural. Top 5 I don't give a shit what anybody says. ...and he's cool, kind of outlaw. I really dig his grand ol Opry motif 😁

Amazingly clear video. It’s stuff like this that makes u tube worth while. As great as this looks and sounds, I wish the ABB would have thrown that “synth guitar” or what ever it was in the river. It doesn’t fit in with the rest of the sound. It’s around 1:40 mark

The Allman Brothers were before my time as I get older my appreciation for all things opens up.im 53 born 1968 and have John frusciante Nirvana all over it, So just love this kick ass version .Does anyone know how freaking tall Gregg Allman is ,Jesus at the intro him walking towards his keyboard, looked enacingly tall and big boss.I loved him as a drug dealer in the movie Rush ,kinda just playing out his life things seen and not easily forgotten was amazingly raw andreal .no acting just exuding

This was the band I saw the first time I saw them, minus the keytar, in Savanah GA. Same year, probably same leg of the tour. This is on fire and Dickey is in top form. I learned vibrato that night watching Dickey shake the strings so hard they broke! You had to see it live back then or not at all!

When I was growing up in the 1970's, I wanted long hair like Gregg Allman. I was super liberal and looked up to my hippy Uncle. Nobody does this hair now, but it would be cool if some cool kids were doing this music. I want to teach children how to play rock and roll music like this. You can put together 10 kids and do this online. Make a new wrecking crew. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 It looks like the Allman's picked up some of the wrecking crew from the studio back then. Some of these guys, I don't know them. They sound unbelievable.
