Welcome to my channel! This is a music reaction channel. For the longest time, I've loved creating content on the internet. I started off with a gaming channel right here on KZbin, which eventually turned into a Twitch gaming channel, but as time has gone on I've evolved into doing other things on KZbin. For years now I've wanted to create a music channel on KZbin, and recently just figured "why not?", so it’s time to give this a go! Give me any suggestion you have for music reactions, and I will do my best to get around to them. As music has fallen further out of my life, I figured this would be a great time to get reintroduced to music.

Live At The Fillmore East. One of the greatest live albums ever. If you haven't already, definitely check out 'Statesboro Blues'. Blues rock at it's best.

The Original Allman Brothers Band was arguably one of the BEST American bands of all time! Check out In Memory of Elizabeth Reed from this concert, or better yet, from The Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East, absolutely amazing!

The Allman Brothers are the real deal. Songs like 'Stormy Monday,' In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, One Way Out, Statesboro Blues, Jelly Jelly. Lawd have mercy- they could lay it down and kick out the jams. Thanks for the music; as always, your picks and fantastic analysis of the songs are outstanding. Two drummers, two lead guitarists, and one soulful singer (magic).

I was a satellite dish installer in Marin County many years ago. I arrived at work one morning and was handed a work invoice for a dish install for Gregg Allman. I listened to the Allman Brothers back in the day (1970's) when I was in high school. Melissa is one of my favorite songs. Anyway, I arrived and met the legend. He was laid back and cool. My heart was racing (when you come face to face with your musical idols it happens). Stayed cool. He offered me a hit off his morning joint. I politely declined. After the install was finished, I walked him thru the operation of the system. We chatted and he revealed when he was married to Cher (yes, THAT Cher) he used to call her "Toots". She HATED that nickname. I chuckled. It is one of my cherished memories to this day. The whole day was magical for me. RIP Duane and Gregg. Peace

You'll definitely want to check out the Fillmore album from 1971. Probably the greatest "rock" music album of the past half century. Not a dull moment. "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" will take you to another world. One of the greatest pieces of music ever recorded in any genre. Also "You Don't Love Me". Next next next level. The Allmans had their own level

Duane Allman, arguably one of the greatest guitarists; Dickey Betts was no slouch either. Hear Duane play with Eric Clapton on Derek and the Dominoes album.

THE original version of The Allman Brothers Band: Gregg Allman-Keyboards and Vocals, Duane Allman_Guitar, Dickie Betts_Guitar, Barry Oakley-Bass and Jaimoe Johnny Johnson and Butch Trucks-Drums. Butch is the Uncle of Derek Trucks, a Guitarist in latter versions of The Allman Brothers Band and in The Tedeschi-Trucks band, with his wife Susan Tedeschi. This concert video highlights the seamless interplay of all six members of the band on one of their most famous and intricate songs. Next up, "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed", a full on instrumental.

A great live performance that never gets old 50 years on. Loved seeing the audience shot at the begining; the Fillmore held 2600 seats so was great place to hear a concert but not to make lots of money so it closed in June 1971 with the Allman Brothers, The J. Geils Band, and Albert King playing. Great when you got 3 bands for one price.

The Live at Fillmore East LP was recorded in ‘71, and is my favorite live LP of all time. There’s no bad cut on the double album. And, the recording of “Mountain Jam” on Eat a Peach was also from the same ‘71 show. All worthy of a review, and you’ll love every cut. ✌️❤️🎶

I got to see them live in concert twice. I had to see them after hearing the record. And they were amazing. The only label I would put on them is “great music played by serious musicians.

The Allman Brothers Band - YES! Not only two lead guitarists in the group, but two drummers also who played together in sync and never missed a beat. For the whole song, completely in sync. Jaimoe Johansen and Butch Trucks are two amazing drummers.

Yes to Gov't Mule, which features Guitarist Warren Haynes, who played with The Allman's during the 90's and onward. He formed Gov't Mule with Bassist Allen Woody, from the Allman's and Drummer Matt Abts, though they now tour and record as a four piece, they added a Keyboardist a few years ago. Allen Woody passed in 2000, about a week after I saw them for the first time. First song to do by The Mule has to be "Soulshine", an Allman tune originally, written by Mr. Haynes. Met Warren after a show one night, and he was very gracious and sociable, hung out with my friends and I for about ten minutes, talking and signing autographs for everyone, a true gentleman.

This amazing video was captured 6 months before they laid down the legendary double live album at Filmore East, and may only be topped by it by it's superior recording. You can judge that. Maybe the best dual guitar solo's of all time. Duane unfortunately left us much too early. RIP

It's southern rock. Duane Allman helped create southern rock when he talked Wilson Pickett into doing a cover of The Beatles "Hey Jude". Eric Clapton heard the song and had to meet Duane and then invited him to join his new band Derek and the Dominos. The rest is history.

This was recorded in Feb. 1970 by the Grateful Deads sound man Oswely Stanley. He created the Wall Of Sound for The Dead. He was known as the King of LSD. I saw The Allman Brothers on New Years Eve 1970 at The Warehouse in NOLA. I was blown away at the age of 15 & it remains my favorite show since. The good Doctor John the Night Tripper was the opening act

Fortunately for me I saw them three times before Duane died. The first time I saw them in Sarasota 1969 I knew from the first song THIS IS THE BEST BAND I AM EVER GOING TO SEE. And I was correct. It was really cool when they rented a house on the Myakka River in Venice, FL and would have kegger rehearsals all night long. We thought those times would never end. But they ended in a hurry. Hendrix, Morrison, Allman, etc

The Allman Brother Band had 4 guitarists on Rolling Stones Original Top 100 Guitarist List . Duane was 2nd on the list behind only Hendrix . His Cohort Dickey Betts is also on the list as well as the Bands Later Years Guitar Tandem of Warren Haynes & Derek Trucks , nephew of Drummer Butch Trucks . Derek , Heir Apparent to the Slide Guitar Legend of Duane , was asked to join the band at the ripe old age of 19 in 1999 . His band with his wife & a damn good blues singer/guitarist in her own right , Susan Tedeschi , The Tedeschi-Trucks Band should be on your concerts to see list if they come to your town .

Critical, did you know that Guitar player Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident on Oct 29 1971, only 24yo. Bass player Barry Oakley, one year and 13 days later, died also in a motorcycle accident, on Nov 11 1972, also 24yo, about 3 blocks from where Duane died. Terrible tragedy.

TABB were a great live band, some critics say that the live one at the Fillmore East is the best live album ever. Duane and the bass player Barry Oakley died in motorcycle accidents a year apart in early 70s. Duane hit a peach truck. TABB named their next album Eat A Peach, pretty cool eh? The band...well Greg fired Betts in late 80s.In the 2000s Warren Haynes from Gov't Mule and Derek Trucks from The Tedeschi Trucks Band (both killer Bands btw) joined the group. Played the hell out of that live album back in the day. Cheers.

Definitely check out Tedeschi Trux band. Dereck Trux is arguably the best Slide guitarist alive today. Check out any of their live stuff, but Midnight in Harlem is awsome. Also Government Mule with Warren Haynes. They do a Song with Dereck Trux that Warren did when he was with the Allman bros called Soulshine which is awsome!

Yep. Twin drummers, twin lead guitarists, twin lead vocalists. These guys had talent spilling out and running all over the place, getting all over everything. What a lovely mess! Speaking of two guitarist bands, I'll throw out two, not saying these guys are at the same level as The Allman Bros., but they're close, and they're both southern rock bands. Lynyrd Skynyrd is a two lead guitarist band that is fantastic, and a band called The Outlaws, who have twin lead guitarists, and a third playing rhythm guitar who can make it scream when he has opportunity. Again, neither of these is The Allman Bros, but they're both great bands.
