No. Sadly there won't. The only lead vocalist from the millennial / gen-z generation that might come close (at times, usually in live performance) is David Hosking of that Australian group Boy & Bear. And that is probably stretching it a bit.

Glad you liked the song. Two thumbs up is the highest rating unless you are a space alien with more than two hands. This song was recorded over 50 years ago, and it still sound fresh and new to me. Many versions of it are available, mostly live shows, if you are interested in hearing how they had refined and expanded the jam over the next two years. And it's been covered by more people than you can shake a stick at. Duane and Gregg Allman were born in Nashville in the late 1940's. Their father was murdered when they were about two and three years old. They spent a lot of their childhood in Florida, and their mother worked two and three jobs to support her little family. I expect they spent a lot of time alone growing up, and found their comfort and motivation in music. Their main influences were black blues, soul and jazz cats. They loved BB King, Buddy Guy, Albert King, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and a lot of other artists like that. A lot of their sound was derived from their hard childhood and being exposed to black music. Older brother Duane founded one of the first integrated bands in the South. I've recently seen a lot of black youtubers doing reaction videos to their early music, and they are almost universally loved. I think it is fantastic that their music, which grew out of black blues, soul and jazz, is being rediscovered and admired by black people today, half a century after they made their best music. Duane and Gregg Allman, and most of their original band mates, have passed on, but I think they would feel great satisfaction, gratitude and pride that many black people enjoy their music now in 2021.

I see you had a Saints hat on in your intro. If you're from New Orleans, you should know the Allman Bros was considered the house band at the old Warehouse which was on Tchoupitoulas St [the venue back in the day now gone since the mid 70's] because they played there so much. If not, you just got a good history lesson.😎

You had 2 drummers and 2 guitarists, a bass player and Gregg Allman on keyboards/piano and singing. That deep raspy singing voice. He's had that since he was a teenager. He was singing WHIPPING POST this same way when he was 19 or 20 years old. When Allman Brothers Band Live at the Fillmore East 1971 was recorded, he was 23 years old. Also WHIPPING POST on Live at the Fillmore East 1971... is 23 minutes long.
