Thank you so much for watching! Omg yes you get me, it really made us love Italy even more. It was really good in April not too hot and not too cold. You could still go in the water, some days were warmer, and some days were cooler. Oh yes if you want warmer weather though may-august are the warmer months. when are you heading back? :)

THE VIEWS!!! I would stay one night there myself so worth it my lord. I have been to the Cinque Terre in Italy and Positano reminds me of it SO much they look SO similar, are they near each other?

OMG yesssss obsessed with the views too hahaha you completely get it experiencing something once is better then to never experience it all. Omg then you understand how beautiful these little towns are because cinque terre is so magical too!! yesss they are similar and have their own special charm!! they are farther from each other thats the only thing but it is definitely possible to do both on a trip if you have enough time. cinque terre is closer to florence, where as positano is closer to naples and the only way to get to positano is to leave from naples by ferry , so for example you take a ferry from naples to capri or sorren then take another ferry to positano and then from there walk to your hotel hope that helps, its a little bit of journey but totally worth it!!!

Yessss that was my reaction to staying here too!!! Yes exactly I used the points I had and used the chase booking portal to use my points on this hotel so I wouldn’t have to pay so much out of pocket, which was so worth it!!! That’s why I love that credit card so much!!!!

​@Marilee Blair Being able to use the portal to book a room like this is impressive, not to mention your points are now worth 1.5 instead of just 1 when using the Reserve card. I'm getting ready to pick this card up (referral link?). I might try and wait for them to issue a larger sign on bonus again. Do you have a patreon? I could really use someone with your expertise to bounce questions off of for the trip my wife and I are planning to Positano next year. We were thinking about staying 6 nights at the Hotel Palazzo Murat, then doing 3 nights on Capri somewhere. I'm also not sure about flights? United round trip, non stop form Newark to Naples? We will probably do 2 nights at the St Regis though before we leave for Italy (on points)... so sorry for the super long paragraph. There's just not a lot of people out there who understand that traveling to awesome places doesn't have to break the bank.

And I knew I needed to save money because at that point I had just come back from a big eurotrip so if I had to add that amount to my card that fast it would have been too much, so subtracting the points helped so much even if it was just for one night to me it was worth it to not pay out of pocket for that experience. You completely understand the value of the credit card already. That card has changed my life the 6 years I have had it. if you want to save money and go when it isnt as crowded then I would say definitely go in April, but if you want to enjoy guaranteed warmer weather, and dont mind spending more money and more crowds then definitely go in summer
