THE ALMORAVIDS (MURABITUN) WERE NOT ASHARIS | REFUTATION

Addressing a claim made by Dr. Shadee al-Masry about the general Aqeedah of the defenders of Islam, and specifically the Aqeedah of the Murabitun (Almoravids), we look at the historical facts to try to come up with an answer to the question: what was the Aqeedah of the Murabitun (Almoravids)?
Disclaimer:
Adnan Ibrahim (a known zindeeq was used in this video to prove a point regarding the Muwahhidun/Ibn Tumart, since he claims to be an Ashari). So beware of him.

The point of the show dirilis ertugrul, is not to be historically accurate (it's a drama TV show) but it's supposed to be symbolic of what it would take to establish Islam and social justice For example it's known ertugrul was not contemporary with ibn Arabi, but their relationship is symbolic of the influence of Ibn Arabi's teachings on the revival of islam through the rise of the ottoman empire at a time when the Mongols were crushing the Seljuks and ayyubids etc

View Quran 6 :82 Tafsir Bukhari taught to Sahabas (Athari Aqida) & Quran 3 :7! ​Athari Aqida prevents baseless tatil & tawil, not just on Allah's Siffat due to pagan foreign idolator influence awuthubillah, but the idea to do this in general to any ayat & open foreign bida over sunna (see Q 5 :48) --- • Shaykh al-Islām Abū Ismā’īl al-Harawī (396-481H) said: ❝Passing the report [pertaining to the attribute] upon its apparentness. And this is that the general signposts of Tawḥīd that have come in the reports are left upon their apparentness. [Thereafter] excessive investigation into them should not be undertaken, and nor should any burden be taken to make ta’wīl of them, and nor should their apparent meanings be exceeded [into] tamthīl (likeness). Qadri deny Allah's siffat due to saying why doesn't Allah stop evil. Allah is Al Hakim as we see in story of Kidr things appear evil, Allah's Siffat help us understand others. The Mutzailah say each Attribute is a separate being like the idols in Quran 53.19. Asharis combine these 2 deviations, deny Allah's Siffat Qabr for their own pre conceived notions and see them as parts. They rely on substance theory as their foundation and call it rationality, after that they filter the holy texts through this ''rational framework'', which in reality is Arestotelian/Greek philosphy. --- So Juwaini and Fakrudin went back to Jahmis. I heard Ghazali combined ashari and sufism and alot of them repented!

@@GuardianLancer What they seem to miss is Sunni Scholarship is nearly 100% Athari. The 4 mathhabs, ibn Hanbal taught the 6 hadith imams, Tabari, or Tahawi etc. Their bida actually faded the unity of the ummah overtime, which is clearly not the goal of Islam which is Tawhid and then smooth unity as Islam is a way of life.

Great video. I would just like to add something with regards to what Shadee Elmasry said; He mentions the Ottomans and Mughals and praises them as the "Ashari heroes of Islam" in a nutshell. No doubt they did a lot of good, but mentioning their creed is opening a giant can of worms. Mughals in particular were known to have Hindu astrologers in their courts, even the most pious of the Mughal rulers such as Aurangzeb. The Ottomans had a ton of creedal issues within the Empire with extreme sufism for long periods, that even someone like Shadee would have to condemn. The point is, bringing up their aqeedah is a double-edged sword.

Unfortunately creed of Shadee is shady itself. I remember he was justifying calling saints for help in vague terms. Then someone commented why are Christians wrong then for asking from Jesus and Mary. The reply that he tweeted was that now only wilayat of Rasool Allah SAW is acceptable (in a way justifying asking Rasool Allah SAW for help). No mention of absolute prohibition of asking anyone other than Allah in dua

@@aq4356 but difference is when Salafis say an Imam repents they bring evidence, like Ashari himself wrote Al-Ibaanah ‘an Usoolid-Diyaanah. Ascribing it's his final book on aqida, is testified by many Scholars, al- Hafidh Ibn ‘Asaakir in Tabyeenul - Kadhabul - Muftaree, p. 152, al- Bayhaqi in Al-I’tiqaad, p. 31, Imam adh-Dhahabi in Al-Uluw etc.
