You're an impressively competent driver, to say the least. Very calm too. Did you talk to the "nein" lady afterwards? I bet she had a good sense of humor.

She was actually very nice and understanding - just no drifting allowed.

I know I'm watching a good driver when I can see the car responding to the minute steering, brake and throttle inputs. That chassis looks highly responsive and clearly taking advantage of the weight transfer mid-corner is a lot of fun. Really great video Robert!

Awsome drive, great commentary too. I am just about to take delivery of one off the very last A110’s in Australia. Due to no side airbags, this car no longer meets our regulations, however on the plus side in 3 years the total number of cars imported is exactly 110 (very fitting) . So very rare to ever see one on the road here. Really enjoy all your videos, keep up the great work and mix of cars too. Absolutely loved your classic BMW day drive - wow! Cheers from Brisbane

More great driving and another great video: I noticed you still had the car in ‘sport’ - holding the red button a second time will switch to ‘race’ which will automatically disengage TCS and prevent the car from auto-shifting up when it hits redline (apologies if you already knew this) thanks for more great content

Great vid! May I ask what your experiences of the base car vs the S model was like? Did you notice the extra power and stiffness? Also was the S louder? I have driven only the S, not had a chance to drive a base car, so am unsure if it’s worth the higher price! Thanks!

@foccachia3 жыл бұрын
You would just change the camper of the car not the spring rates or bushings or anything. This way the character of the non s version would be retained, while turn in becomes more direct and untersteer would be replaced by oversteer.
@TiyamatFTL3 жыл бұрын
@@foccachia camber is mostly mid corner grip, but that makes sense, I think I just misunderstood what he said in the video, thanks So from what I understand now the car just needs a more agressive alingment

Is it easier to drift than a cayman? I was on track with my 987 S and only way i could get it sideways was trailbraking. It was a big wide circuit but the power and grip just didnt let me drift easily. It would be possinle with proper weight shifting, but im not that good.
@heelandtoe_8 ай бұрын
Similar with this. Just on power this car wouldn't go sideways in the dry. Too balanced and too much grip. You need to use weight transfer to your advantage, and then it will happily keep the drift.

Is it possible to set the steering wheel resistance? (I know it's electric) When I had a test drive my main complain was that. I can turn the steering wheel like a volvo family car. (But the road feedback was kinda good)

I mean, light car gives light steering, and as long as the feedback is there, hm But I haven't driven one yet, but I really want to

It looks like an Audi, from the rear at least. Renault have been trying to look "more German" for a while now. [Compare to the rear of an Audi A7 and you will see. In case you didn't know, both Renault and Peugeot made public their intent to design their cars to imitate the style of German cars]

Leaving a like because I love your content, but this car is shit in an honest opinion. Driven it many times and it's cheap and shitty. A 370z beats it without a doubt.
@Altesego13 жыл бұрын
I really like the 370z for what it is, but isn’t it about 400 kg heavier than the a110 ? I doubt that a stock 370z would have any chance to keep up with a stock alpine on any track. That said, I would still prefer to buy the Nissan as it’s much less expensive and probably much more robust, while still fun to drive.
