My family lives in a 3rd world country, and my mom was a star wars fan. If we had money she would have been a super fan. We didn't have a TV or VHS player until around 1995, and the very first movie we watched was Star Wars a New Hope. We traveled to a city around 2 hours away from our town just to rent the VHS of the trilogy. That was how much she loved the original trilogy. But now my mom refuses to even watch any star wars movie or TV show after they killed Han Solo in The Force Awakens, a movie she was once so excited for. I'm not a huge star wars fan, I was raised during the era of anime rising in popularity, but my mom grew up during the era of hollywood supremacy and she feels the loss of great movies and shows from hollywood more keenly than me.

As someone with a degree in psychology, three things to note. 1. Playing with your hair is a self soothing behavior, some people do it when they're stressed out. 2. She has two separate thoughts going on from the video "I was in an Echo Chamber" and "Being in an Echo Chamber is bad." 3. The most important part, she actually hasn't come to the thought "ME being an Echo Chamber is bad.", that's why she's so stressed out, she's experiencing a level of Cognitive Dissonance that makes or breaks people. Sadly, because she's weak psychologically, she's almost certain to be broken by it, and retreat to "It's okay for me to be in an echo chamber because [Irrelevant Reason]" and it will solidify in her mind to NEVER try and break out of it, because the last time she got close to breaking out of the echo chamber, it felt really bad.

I feel joyous that i got to experience their best and that lesser people can't do even a marginally passable service to its memory, success isnt for everyone and for no one that doesnt put their all on it

Imagine being as privileged as Leslye Headland to think you could blow $180 million dollars of share holder money, have your show fail, and expect Disney (ie: the shareholders) to simply write you another blank check for season 2. The entitlement is bonkers. Now imagine being as entitled as this Amandla that can completely bad mouth the fans with a dis track that stereotypes anyone who doesn’t like the show as a “toxic incel” and think that people will want to watch your show… wow. No, it’s not toxic incels, not alt-right, not anything except that most people didn’t like the show.. of the ones that did, you drove off half of those with your stereotyping “music” video. Keep dissing the audience though, let’s see how many studios will want to offer you work knowing that you drive away paying customers. Here’s some advice from someone who genuinely watched the entire series: take the L, move on. Not every project in your career is going to be a hit.. and if you respond by driving away paying customers… well… it’s gonna continue to bite you in the butt with lower and lower viewership. Or skip this fan’s advice. I’m sure you would just label me a toxic alt-right. But you would be wrong. I’m a non-affiliated moderate, someone who genuinely gave the show a chance (watched the entire series) and I am one of the first to include others at my business adventures. So check your own prejudice and sexism at the door. 👍 Lastly, can someone please explain to me how Pablo Hidalgo and Kathleen Kennedy haven’t been fired after repeatedly wasting share holder money?? The reason this classic franchise keeps failing , is because the people making these movies have NEVER bothered to read the some of the original 1970's comic books, read any of the Start Wars books or even sat down to watch the original trilogy. It didn't matter if they were a man or a woman. THEY WERE NOT TRUE FANS and just thought it would be " FUN " to make a Star Wars Movie.
@OkieDokieSmokie2 ай бұрын
No, they actually thought that Star Wars is a symbol of oppression and that they needed to tear it down from within. Like they write about in their works, like they talk about on twitter. When people tell you who they are you should listen and these hollywood types told you who they are years ago
