My family lives in a 3rd world country, and my mom was a star wars fan. If we had money she would have been a super fan. We didn't have a TV or VHS player until around 1995, and the very first movie we watched was Star Wars a New Hope. We traveled to a city around 2 hours away from our town just to rent the VHS of the trilogy. That was how much she loved the original trilogy. But now my mom refuses to even watch any star wars movie or TV show after they killed Han Solo in The Force Awakens, a movie she was once so excited for. I'm not a huge star wars fan, I was raised during the era of anime rising in popularity, but my mom grew up during the era of hollywood supremacy and she feels the loss of great movies and shows from hollywood more keenly than me.

As someone with a degree in psychology, three things to note. 1. Playing with your hair is a self soothing behavior, some people do it when they're stressed out. 2. She has two separate thoughts going on from the video "I was in an Echo Chamber" and "Being in an Echo Chamber is bad." 3. The most important part, she actually hasn't come to the thought "ME being an Echo Chamber is bad.", that's why she's so stressed out, she's experiencing a level of Cognitive Dissonance that makes or breaks people. Sadly, because she's weak psychologically, she's almost certain to be broken by it, and retreat to "It's okay for me to be in an echo chamber because [Irrelevant Reason]" and it will solidify in her mind to NEVER try and break out of it, because the last time she got close to breaking out of the echo chamber, it felt really bad.

It means you lived and enjoyed the best part of said franchises, as they say in my land "no one can take away what you danced" Like the simpsons, i live my early years through the best seasons, being on repeat since not much more was made yet, and filled me with laughs and joyous moments even my parents can recite in a heartbeat; when the worse started to flourish, it gave me a perspective of quality that i would keep searching on everything i enjoyed, not because i deserved it, but because it was made and available by other people that also enjoyed quality, in turn i knew i had to give quality on the things i made for others because it would pull more people towards it, and i enjoyed the effort making it possible So yeah, quality calls quality What do i feel watching my favorite franchises burning up in flames?
