@@JordanPringVFX how much work did you need to do on the rest of the video?
@JordanPringVFX7 күн бұрын
I’m actually planning on releasing a full showreel of my work on the episode very soon, my tasks ranged from minor clean up on render issues to look development like on the gangle sequence. It was definitely a lot of work and I will forever have ptsd of burger patties after adding bubbles and steak to every patty in the episode 🥲

Im not going to lie this scene was a big contrast to anything else seen in the show so far, i wasn’t sure how to feel about it at first but its grown on me. I was reading the credits of the episode and noticed that “compositional artists” were something set on their own. I didn’t even know what that was exactly until now. I was expecting it to be something related to spacial composition, story boarding kinda stuff, but i can see why all of this is equally important. Especially with these more complex & artistic 3d projects. Gives me a new appreciation for all the small details. The whole process of trying to make a plain 3D modeled space, turn it into a world, and then into a reality thats not quite real but not quite fake at least script wise. Thats a lot of layers bruh. P cool, never seen the process of something like this before. 👍

I think you should replace “season” with “show” because Digital Circus, like Murder Drones, will only have One Season.

@@RealZerenaFanTADC will have 1 more episodes than Murder Drones, so hopefully that one additional episode can give us a less rushed and proper conclusion. I wish we could have gotten a better ending for Murder Drones however.

this turned out really cool! Even if I've not used Nuke before I can still absolutely appriciate the work put into this beautiful shot! Great work on compositing! What do you think the key role of a compositor is when enhancing a shot?
@JordanPringVFX7 күн бұрын
That’s an interesting question, I’d say the jobs vary quite a lot depending on the exact shot, but in a situation like this my main role was definitely just to bring Gooseworx vision to life, while also adding my own creative input and expression without detracting from the focus of the shot or the original intentions.

This is so impressive man, wonderful job! I always remembered seeing those trees of information in other 3D production behind the scenes videos, but never knew the proper terminology for them. Compositing seems so interesting to me as someone who just learned all the ins and outs of Photoshop and After Effects, might have to take a stab at it one day myself! It’s so cool to see people like you just doing what they love and having so much fun not only creating work, but explaining their thought process behind what they make as well. Can’t wait to see what else you do during your time with Glitch!!

Amazing. I think i maybe finally understand the... flow chart thingy? It's been 14 years since 3D animation, lol... It's sort of like stacking layers on layers and embedding them? I'm thinking like in Photoshop, how you can do a clipping mask with two layers? Sorry, i may be babbling and may be wrong. But seeing how each individual node(?) affects one another and flows towards the final shot is really neat. :)
