However when Ragatha later talks about being bored with her life(which sounded like a bunch of activities for a kid with high expectations) and Gangle discusses having real hopes and dreams you let die to do what you 'have to' those are very specific memories in a normal conversation, which feels at odds with what we have been told and shown about the characters and the world.

To me, I don't think Gummigoo is reaching out because he remembers and is wanting to reach out. I think that his reaction makes sense from the perspective of the fact that he never told her his name before. So now imagine that after ordering some food the cashier suddenly not only comes over to talk to you but then also says your name despite never actually telling them it. I think he's just confused and maybe trying to ask how she knows his name. But I do *want* him to remember and just be playing along. I have a feeling we might see him again still

It's very likely this questionable ingredient choice was just Caine re-using the assets for all that "human meat" that was supposed to be used in the Curse of the Violent Psychopath Butcher adventure he canceled.

57:26 Also, here you notice that the area behind Jax leads to the drive-thru register, while just a few moments later it morphs into the spooky door leading to the Training room. My theory is that Caine making Gangle the shift manager either gives her some limited admin privileges or control over the restaurant, or in that she somehow communicated with Caine to grab Jax and send him to the hastily made Training Room. Also, her training video probably wasn't really prerecorded. Gangle could have just teleported herself into the TV so she could mess with Jax by playing out the training video in real time before turning on the clockwork orange stuff.

The characters forgetting about their past lives is a common misconception that was cleared up by Goosewerx. The only thing said in episode 1 was that they can’t remember their names. Most people took that and thought it implied they have no memory at all. They can remember their entire lives outside of the circus except for their names

But they actually started to became popular worldwide in the 1990s. During the 1990s, they were only really in newspapers and they were just called comics. Sorry that this is so long, but I even googled when was the first Web comic created and it said in 1985. Sorry I know this is probably a lot more information than you wanted, but I guess it’s just cool to know anyway. And I only really knew about the comic newspaper stuff. I have a theory for Film Theory: I think Jax is the real first character out of the cast. In episode 4, his car says Jax 001 implying that he is the first. Not to mention, he seems to know a lot about the world, knowing how to get keys, where things are and what Caine's nature is. It's been confirmed that Kinger is the oldest, both in the real world (43) and being in the circus the longest. In the real world Jax is actually the youngest at 22, Zooble is the same age but they're older by six months, obviously he's not the youngest in the circus but he probably hasn't actually been there for very long.

Kinger has been there the longest. 7 years of computer science probably means he's a programmer/beta tester for the game. With either the rest of them also being beta testers, or introduced to the game as a form of escapism from the real world. I actually have a pretty solid idea for why there’s water when Caine breaks the suggestion box. many times in games if there is a body of water, people will put the body of water below the entirety of the map and bring it up to where the water is rather than just place it somewhere in the world. Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the wild do this actually! But sometimes when water had to go to certain places, they will drag it upwards from the bottom of the map to get there, and since there is a “Digital Lake” near the Circus Tent, its entirely possible that the water is being dragged up THROUGH the pillar to get the lake!

I have a short theory on why Caine is so fixated on getting zooble to join adventures- instead of him being focused on his own ideas- Ragatha said that the adventures are used to keep their minds stimulated so they don’t go crazy- zooble starting to not join them on the adventures might have caused Caine to want to keep them from abstracting- so he’s trying to force them to go on them so zooble gets distracted. to be honest, 57 also works very well in regards to the theme of the show, as in numerology, 57 signifies change, transformation, and spiritual growth. Not sure if that is intentional or not, but interesting nonetheless.

Fun fact: the range of motion when throwing a softball is actually more natural! The arms movement in the shoulder girdle is best supported and facilitated when moving in a circular motion (ie underhanded pitching). Throwing overhand requires more movement in the rotator cuff and puts a lot of strain on the tendons running from the elbow into the hand. This is why we see more injuries in baseball pitchers than softball pitchers!

I always saw Gangle as neurodivergent. I like to think that she feels like she isn’t “normal” because of this. Y’know how she’s always quiet, I saw that as more being semi verbal or non-verbal. Also the whole mask thing with Gangle. Could represent masking. When Gangle has the happy mask on she always seems more energetic and lively, as most people would attempt to be seen as but underneath that she is always sad with the tear mask. Idk. *that’s just a theory* (and a headcanon)

a thing my brain connected when you noticed the line about the manic episode: when someone suffers from depression for their whole life and suddenly get a treatment of some kind [medication for example] then it can feel like they suddenly have manic episodes especially if they were given the wrong treatment or too high a dose. there's also the matter that if you're used to a pattern of either feeling okay enough to be productive or feeling so severe that you just need to curl up and cry for a while then suddenly getting an in-between state of mind can be hard to adapt to. kind of a mental pattern that roughly translates like 'if i can walk then i can run'. i once tried to do a questionnaire thing on my own for depression and accidentally got bipolar as the answer, because when your emotional range never dips above a 7 then it's hard to imagine what a 9 would be like just slight stream of consciousness, might be of note if the theorist team decide to do a deep-dive into gangle
