The Amazing Moment Elephant, Lundi Chases Buffalo at the Waterhole & Her Herd Come to Support

Lundi is not happy sharing the waterhole today and takes on the role of dam guardian for her herd. Khanyisa’s surrogate mother and mother to Mambo, Lundi embarks on a solo mission to chase away three buffalo who have wandered down to the dam to drink. Lundi attempts to scare the buffalo off but isn’t fully successful as one buffalo proves stubborn and stands his ground. Lundi’s back-up team move in to offer support and soon even more elephants join in. The buffalo give up and eventually head off, with Pisa offering a strong attack too. Lundi celebrates with a victory dance and trumpet!

Gotta say I kinda chuckled watching our sweet Lundi assert herself. She is showing everyone her personality and proving that she is a matriarch in the making. That’s one tough strong female and I admire her because she didn’t back down. You could almost sense her thought process just by watching her body language. Lundi is quite marvellous, she is one of my favourites along with Timisa and Pisa. Their personalities are so unique and obvious. Watching these elephants grow up has been such a wonderful experience, even if it’s just through the amazing videos. Getting to learn about them and love them. Each video they grab another piece of my heart ❤

Lundi like Tokwe and Jabu..have such pure hearts! She is fearless and protective to the max! Unlike Sebakwe the great protector..Lundi has her own approach that is heartwarming! This is a wonderful interaction - you can see both elephant and buffalo thinking and working it out. Buffalo gets hist a long drink and then pushed his luck - then the backup herd arrive, form a plan, and work in unison to move the buffalo along. I also noticed how big and strong the entire herd looks all together like that. Great video!

Today was not the day to bother Mama Lundi She is so funny in her attemps to intimidate and make the three Buffalos leave the Dam but she came across a stubborn one who was not inclined to give up the good place Although she was marching towards him shaking her head with her ears outstretched to look huge, he remains zen Even Lundi's backup Team made up of the most beautiful teenagers from Herd Zindoga, tomboy Pisa and Mambo nothing helps but war wary plus facing a last bold incursion of our pretty Pisa and seeing the number of Pachyderms increasing, they gave way and a thrilled Lundi to perform her victory dance trumpeting
