Join my friend and I Andy as we head for the Nant Suddion Bothy in the Cambrian Mountains via a super Gnarly route through the forest. We had 3 bus delays, which meant coming in at night. This though made for the spirit of the Nant Syddion. Inside we settled in but found the most disgusting left overs. Watch to see what that was and what we did about it.

Mark you are the best, what a brilliant video. I didn’t realise the bothy you were in until you showed the morning view and 4 years ago at the end of October I was there with my Dad and brother for my Dads 83rd birthday but we didn’t leave anything behind 🎉. When I recently stayed in Claredu bothy I filled 4 large bin liners with other peoples rubbish 🙈, it’s close to the road so could easily be collected by the water company who maintains it. 2 fishermen were in there that night they were very nice guys, they parked close by. They were gone by the time we got up but left 8 empty cans and other rubbish behind, it was hard to comprehend as they seemed good people but obviously fucking idiots. 😂. Anyway Mark you must be feeling a lot fitter now than of late which is great. Kind regards to you both and thanks for a great video. ATB 🙏💯

Hey, all credit to the Bothy and Cambrian Dave. hey, just taken a look and saved your trip for viewing. It is a fantastic place - so good to picture your dad and you guys there. I bet you're pleased about that. Yeah, the world is ill Dave. Good on you for taking the rubbish out too. As for the fisherman I can see the surprise. Yes, feeling stronger but still came out strained - a bit to go but as you know we need to get out so happy for this short trip. A pleasure to share. All the best. Mark

It is a picture and a great atmosphere Andy. I liked it coming back from the river. I recommend that Richmonds chargrill meat free - well tasty. Yeah, gotta reduce the meat we eat. I still eat meat but not as much. Ha ha, me and Andy were hoping form a visitation - didn't get the full on one we had hoped but there was a presence. Totally, agree - an awesome location. The fire full of hidden rubbish is very upsetting. I think the respect that you have didnt grow on a tree , it will come to those people eventually . Its a pity that it wasnt part of education for too long , but things are changing brother . The nore they get out , the more respect a person has for their environment. Its our job to just hike as much of it to a bin as we can . One piece at a time . Your candlelit evening was perfect looking shot , i really felt like i was there Peace

Hi Mark, what a Beautiful Location and a magnificent Dwelling to to stay the Night. That story about The family that lived there was Tragic mate and speaking of Tragic, I fully endorse your reaction to the Half wits who left the place in that state. People who have enjoyed the privilege of Free Accommodation and that`s how they show their gratitude! Just no respect for other people or property. One of my pet hates seeing rubbish just left, does my head in why people want to go to these nice places and leave their crap behind, they can bring it but for some reason they can't take it back with them. No ghosts in those rooms, or maybe. A sad story of the family. I'd find it hard to settle down, thinking anyone could come through the door anytime, friendly or not. But what a cracking place, that morning veiw. Love them fresh mountain streams. Very interesting and informative as ever, lots to love. Good one thanks for sharing Mark😊👍

Hi Steve. Yes, my old mate it is a torment coming across such people. Maan, if only we could catch em doing it eh? But they seem to get away with it every time. Could do with a big sign inside, asking people to please take rubbish away as they brought it there and not to hide it up the chimney or elsewhere.little messages to prick people's minds. I liked how there was useful things left around. I had to give a thought to the man or woman who stood in that spot looking at the view, the stream and surroundings, before the house was built. Long ago , And said I want to build a home here,I want to live here. And the satisfaction they felt when it was done. Some people lived and loved it there at some point in time. Even though there was tragedy as well. I wonder who he or she was. I guess many of us have stood somewhere, and had the same dream. If only 😊

I don't understand people who bring full items to bothies, and then leave the empties behind them - there's no weight in empty. plastic bottles and cans and it's easier to carry them out. Well done you and Andy cleaning up after those selfish pigs. I would have been swearing too (I've been doing a lot of that recently watching the tv news...I despair of our politicians). Haven't had Quorn since the 70s. We camped around Iceland eating Quorn mince. I guess it's a different animal now. ;-) Sad story with the bothy. I've seen a couple but never slept in one. Great if it's just you and a buddy. Fantastic reveal of the bothy view. I suppose we should be 'grateful' the scum didn't chuck their rubbish into our countryside. Magic video as always, Mark. PS My Saker Chainsaw would have sorted out that wood in seconds, lol!

Hey, Terry yeah the clean up was going to get done. It was a mess! I reckon you would have had a rant. Re-the corn that was tasty - you wanna give it a try. It is sad with the family - no ghosts though just fantastic views and vibes. Ah, for sure now that would have been upsetting to see the rubbish strewn about the mountains - but they do that too. Assholes! Ha, that chainsaw would have had us toasted in a jiff. Thanks Terry - good comment. All the best up there. Mark

Beautiful approach to the Bothy, looks like it was a bit off the beaten track, path less trodden! You made it snug with the tea lights and the fire. Awesome woodland Mark bro ! However the start of the trail reminded me of a Rafe Spall movie 'The Ritual' (2017) ..a British horror film that follows four friends who take a hiking trip into a Swedish forest and encounter an ancient evil. It frightened the 💩 out of me !! lol Thankfully your trail does not have the same effect !! The bothy looks awesome !! ..well except for the plastic and cans ..dolts !!
