Rumours are that the 650cc BSA motorcycle is nearing production and will be launched in the UK by the end of the year. It is believed to be a single cylinder motor producing around 50hp and 50 Nm of torque. Will be manufactured in India and assembled in the UK. Launch in India is still not certain, so it may reach stateside even before landing up on our shores. Waiting for its spyshots to appear on the web. The return of Yezdi motorcycles is also eagerly awaited here in India with spyshots of a motorcycle nearing production seen all over the web. Had one for about 2 months now and loving it - the only thing that drives me nuts is the short/low angle of the toe shifter. It's impossible to get your toes under there unless you have small feet and you're wearing a slim shoe! I know it's easy enough to use the heel shifter instead, but being forced to use it is a bit annoying. Ah, and the Tripper app is completely useless! Far too buggy and finicky to use.

I wouldn’t be happy if I was receiving that bike, the running in procedure says it shouldn’t be run at more than 44mph in 5th gear for the first 300 miles. This is very important on Royal Enfield’s as the engines are not run at the factory the way Japanese or European bikes are and if you want to bed the engine components in correctly and ensure the engine runs smoothly and reliably then the procedure needs to be followed carefully. The maximum speeds in each gear given in the owners manual and varying the speed by 10%, avoiding full throttle and not labouring the engine as well as not running it for more than 1 hour continuously are very important.

@@ekimandersom4478 extra for a center stand. So stupid. Here in India we get it as standard 🙏🏽

The sportster is more impressive. But I to own a Royal Enfield.

Sportster is a great bike too. Love both but one is a third the cost. Wahoo!

Thanks for the review. For grins, watch this India towing test by the Meteor 350 (yes, a small car towing test at time 7:35): kzbin.info/www/bejne/foKmkoupqcSqhLM

Personally I am not a fan of the base model, especially the yellow, I think the supernova is a better option in its two tone metallic paint

Can't wait to see the new SuperNova on the floor.

It's all about personal choices sir. Some prefer the fireball some prefer stellar and others supernova

20 horsepower from a 350?. Sounds gutless to me. No matter how much tou big it up

It's an interesting ride for a low powered bike. If you want speed the Meteor is not the bike to ride.

In most European countries we have a 40-50 mph legal limit, with 65 mph on the motorways. It also must comply with A2 and be Euro5 certified. It's not made for the US market, it's designed for India and Europe, hence the rickrack gear shifter.

@@Airpang100 I feel the bike will appeal to city folk and short commute riders. Seems like a nice motorcycle.

Two things I'm still out on. The tail light looks and how the shifter mechanism will hold up. RE has done a good job.
