You might have noticed there is some confusion with the difficulty rating in this episode. I accidentally cut out the difficulty rating at the end of the video and the graphic moved somewhere in the middle of the video showing the standard value of 3/5. I actually rated it 4/5 before myself.

Improvement suggestions: Include a piece of clear plastic or a metal frame for the tengram puzzle. Also, have the tengram puzzle made of steel so you can embed a magnet on the other side of the frame, so the pieces remain in place when moving the puzzle box to stand up.

Another way that could have improved the number puzzle would be to continue the marks on the bottom of the puzzle, so that it looked more like a frame. That would not require an additional part, but would get the point across that it is the numbers inside the marks that make up the combination.

Mmmmh... "can't think of what's the right combination, have to phone the creator for the solution", "difficulty 3/5, not that hard". I think, dear Mr Puzzle, that you are expecting a certain kind of difficulty over another kind. Actually, I love that there is no magnet, no usual "invisible maze", and the difficulty here is just... reflection. It's a puzzle, literally a jigsaw puzzle, on top of a few other gadgets, and it's a very smart way to conceal the right combination... you just... didn't find it. Didn't think enough. That's the whole purpose of the game: thinking differently, in an unexpected fashion. You're not being intellectually honest if, when beaten by a puzzle, you say it's "not that hard". It definitely gave your ego a good slap behind the head. :) Rehabilitate this puzzle: you didn't beat it, you were given the solution, for a reason you got pissed at it because it's not your kind of puzzle and you got used to a certain kind of puzzles with a certain kind of reflection expected. It's a fair 4/5. That little trick with the lines got you. :)
@groowanderer4 жыл бұрын
I see your point, but I'm in agreeance with Mr Puzzle in that a correct fitting frame placed, even obscurely, within the puzzle would've been more appropriate. I think I also would've given it a 4, but it's not our own personal scoring system. It's his.
@Mr.Puzzle4 жыл бұрын
I think you juge something you don't know any details. I asked if the tangram is arranged correct. Because the numbers won't open the lock. During the discussion the solution was mentioned. I hope this helps to clarify some details.

I think it's a nice idea. Unfortunately, it was revealed during our discussion. A subtle hint would have been better.
@PokeMaster222224 жыл бұрын
8:24 Couldn't you just brute-force the lock? I mean, there's four 0-9 reels, right, making it 10^4 = 10,000 possible combos? Or, if each number can only be used once, it's 10x9x8x7 = 5040 combos. Shouldn't take all that long.
@SgtSupaman4 жыл бұрын
Assuming it takes about 4 seconds to put in a full code and try to open the lock, a worst case scenario would take over five and a half hours of constant attempts (given that you figure out any number will only be used once). So I guess that just depends on what you consider to be "that long" for solving a puzzle.
