I came back to find something he said so I could write it down. "I think it's better to have more difficulties. That way you can feel more grateful. Live each day desperately. I think it would be a blessing if I could live like that." Such profound words.

I respect the look he has on his face. He still has so much pride in what he does, even if it’s only selling small cakes. He is incredibly proud of his small cakes he sells. I can definitely respect a man like this.

I have so much admiration and mad respect for this team of bakers. Especially for the uncle baker, even at 70 years of age and still going strong, works diligently and persevere in his profession. It’s crazy hard work. Thank you for introducing them to the world. There’s a lot to learn from here.
His attitude of taking things lightly and cool , a calm demeanor but works passionately and diligently is an inspiration that should be engraved to each , especially the young generation of high technologies now. HIS BICYCLE ( OLD STYLE) AND CYCLING EVERYDAY , HIS HANDMADE CAKES IS ICONIC. LOVE IT . ❤️
I have lost motivation in life for quite some time. I seem to have lost interest in life, I always stay at home and feel anxious, scared, afraid to face difficulties. Watching your videos has motivated me to have a deeper look at life. Thank you very much, Japanese Kitchen Tour.

I know the feeling. My life changed for the better after I started growing plants, and then had a puppy to look after. Living with a dog takes me outside and I have made doggy friends. Moreover, as I walk, many people in the neighbourhood started to greet me even though we do not know each other at all.

@howl2474 we are all winners. Struggles are nothing but passing clouds. I am sure there are people who you know and maybe some who you are not aware of who admire you and cherish you. You are wanted and special never forget it.
I'm going through a depression right now. And watching him has cheer me up. Thank you for reminding me to be grateful in life. Hopefully you will live a long life. InshaAllah.
This is so nostalgic. I wish we have bakery chef doing that in Singapore. I will run after this chef for a pound cake made by him. Miss the old school selling. He is so hardworking and so cool and fatherly.

It’s too hot in Singapore to paddle around to do business lah!
I aspire to be like him when I grow old. I can see nothing but happiness & positivity the fact that he continues doing it until 70 proves that he loves his job. He lives with and is driven by a strong sense of purpose 🙏 His red G-shock and pink pants really stands out 😆

Pound cake is my favorite dessert ❤ My daughter and I will be traveling to Japan next Spring. We hope to come visit your shop. Please take care of yourself in the heat. Bring a bottle of water and ice with you to drink during your bike ride.
I love how respectful and caring Japanese treat each other. Here in Germany nobody would talk like this.

We used to be much like the Japanese. As a girl, I was taught to curtsey, and the boys had to learn to bow. Germans have all but forgotten the good manners we grew up with. Rheinland/Pfalz here.

i am amazed. the staff's heartblood flows into this work and its unique to see him sell bread on the go with his bicycle even though the tough weather. he is so calm, so likeable and so popular too. it is unusual to me to see them show appreciation with their handshake. thank you for sharing and the way you present this video is so well made.
Wonderful story! Mr. Aramoto has wonderful personality and outlook on life! Even though he has opened his own shop, he hasn't forgotten his past of selling his cakes from the back of his bicycle and thus continues to do this physically challenging work every day after finish baking his cakes at the shop! Good to see the support of his wife & family, as well as the camaraderie between him and customers of many years throughout the city! I had visited Kumamoto Castle many years ago; it is undergoing repairs due to damages from an earthquake several years ago.
I admire your work despite ur age, I wish we had pound cakes made by hand here in LA! I wish u good health& continue what u r doing! Take care & God bless!

What a lovely story. I wish I could buy from him. His work ethic and values are inspiring. Thank you for sharing.❤
The Japanese people always seem to have such happy, positive attitudes toward life. Even when something bad happens they seem to find the positive in it. That's why I enjoy watching these so much. I guess I could say I draw inspiration from their attitudes. At 70 years old this man is still out in the heat busting his butt doing what he loves. Good for him.
