Thank you! I really enjoy every one of these videos and appreciate them! They are a time machine to my childhood and adolescence. Love everything - the music, TV shows, commercials, movies, fashions. I was 9 in 1971. It was all about the Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, and Donny Osmond for me. I watched "On Any Sunday " a week ago. Great movie and great soundtrack.

I graduated from high school that year. For our senior trip we camped out several days in the sand dunes in Colorado. Michael Jackson started out so great with a good voice, sad he went the way he did with drugs. Dad retired from the Air Force that year, and I still have one of those photos. I loved the Carpenters - Close To You. They had such a clean sound. Our nineties kids also grew up with Willie Wonka movies. Ah! Carol King. My parents gave me the choice of business school or college. I chose college for the ridiculously immature reason that my friends were going, and picked the college and got a merit scholarship at University Of Northern Colorado, where most of my friends were going.

Another Winner Fred! The summer I was ready to start high school and entering the world as a young man. Great bands, great music, great movies, fast cars, and fast girls. As a side note, it was 13 years later that I picked up a’71 Mustang convertible. that monster was my baby for the next 18 years of my life. Waiting to hit the lottery so I can pick up another for my retirement years…

He was a beast of a rider on motorcycles Dirt/ Street, didn't matter. Remember seeing the way he handled them in the movie - The Great Escape - He was really cool and down to earth! Terrific, Fred. Definitely captures the feel of the times when so much was changing so fast. Things I recall as a kid : 1) Thinking Vietnam would never end and wondering if I’d end up there one day; 2) Hearing the Carpenters and Carole King constantly at home or on radio - the Carpenters take me back to these years; 3) This was the summer I started buying comic books on a regular basis … specifically Marvel - or at least Dad got them for me. Remember loving Sub-Mariner, Spidey and Iron Man. 4) I was obsessed with astronauts. (And one other note - That first album by Curtis Mayfield is a powerhouse. If you love soul music like me it’s a must have!)

My first date movie. Of course I was too young to drive, so I had to have a chaperone, my cousin 🙄. Oh, and last but not least, Edith Bunker's hilarious line about Carnal Knowledge. Ah, summer 1971...The 11 year old me was fresh out of 5th grade and experiencing his first romance (thank you, Rosemary). Dan Hamilton, Joe Frank Carollo and Tommy Reynolds were members of the touring version of The T-Bones ("No Matter What Shape [Your Stomach's In]"). The group that recorded as The T-Bones were actually the studio musicians known as The Wrecking Crew. Carolyn Willis of The Honey Cone was the female vocalist on Seals & Crofts' 1976 hit "Get Closer".
