In our polarized age, the prospects of finding a source of unity among Americans seem especially daunting. Where can we find help in applying our disagreements to constructive ends? AEI’s Yuval Levin argues that contrary to many skeptics, the Constitution offers Americans a practical path for greater unity and can inspire a restoration of republicanism. The problem is not that we disagree; it is that we have forgotten how to disagree constructively. Restoring our understanding of the Constitution can help us recover that ability, which is central to a healthy republic.
Join AEI for Dr. Levin’s inaugural lecture in the American Dream Lecture Series, followed by a conversation with AEI’s Christopher J. Scalia about how the Constitution can help Americans find unity in our diverse and divided times.
