So say in 10 years time when you hear their new single, you won't be like hmm... same old same old? I agree that consistency is key, but change is always good... Danny from Asking Alexandria for example. :)
@kickside998 жыл бұрын
Alexander Young What I mean is that, repeating the same structure and a few similar chord progressions every song isnt good Amity pulls it off, but after a while it gets old
@alexanderyoung89618 жыл бұрын
James Heffer danny from AA is a terrible example. On the three albums he did with them, to me, only a few songs were listenable. From "Death to Destiny"...no wonder he left. Look at Lamb of God or Breaking Benjamin for examples. Consistent for 10 to 15 years and they are both still awesome and selling out shows. I usually can't stand bands that don't keep a consistent sound.

its crazy you say this because it makes me feel better. Last concert I went to, I read that their most played song live is "Death's Hands." I've seen it every time they've performed and every time, I have to leave to mosh cause I start bawling. I love that duality about metal music and its community. I can rage or I can cry. Either way, I'm accepted.

+Frederik Boll Knudsen The narrative of the song seems to be about someone who has passed away and is wondering if anyone will miss him or if he made any kind of impact on the world.
@kaleplatzer8 жыл бұрын
+Frederik Boll “Phake” Knudsen I suppose the song is open to a bit of interpretation but my view is that it's partially Joel having a bit of a vent about his depression (I interpret the "I am the storm that never leaves" line as a reference to depression because it's hard to fully get rid of it) but also him wondering if his life was fulfilling and whether he actually made an impact. I could be totally wrong, but that's just my thoughts.

+acceptanci amity are boring! ooh i wanna kill myself. depression is my anchor weighing me down while the world weighs down on me but we will rise above! there all 4 albums summed up! we get it, you nearly killed yourself! now write about something positive! goddammit

+matt johnson all i said was "no please no" referencing your shitty band. it was neither positive nor negative. you just took it the wrong way. im sorry your brain is under development causing you to bash people unirrationally, you know instead of making fun of people for needing help, maybe you could use some counseling chief. if you really are that upset about it. its easy don't respond. :)

+acceptanci Matt, I'm not a fan of parkway drive at all, Amity may be depressing at times, but the beautiful lyrics help people get through the tough times. And IMO Joel and Ahren sound so amazing together. They work very well. I'm a fan of Escape the Fate for a long time too. But Amity is my favorite band at the moment .

I bring the weather with me It's time to lay my head down I can hear the weeping song There are sirens in the distance As the church bells sound along Mourning ushers in the rain Clouds are heavy like their hearts I sing to them their weeping song Until their world is dark We are all stars in the sky We all shimmer then decay So I wonder - did I burn out, Make a mark or fade away? Will you miss me when I'm gone? I am the storm that never leaves Will you miss me when I'm gone? I bring the, I bring the weather with me. I'm the ship in the bottle Rain pouring down on me I sing songs for my funeral That I will never see You were my shining light Oh, you were heaven sent But now I'm not afraid of leaving Not of God, and not of Death. We are all stars in the sky We all shimmer then decay So I wonder - did I burn out, Make a mark or fade away? Will you miss me when I'm gone? I am the storm that never leaves Will you miss me when I'm gone? I bring the, I bring the weather with me. Place the pennies on my eyes I'll sleep with the stars tonight. [x4] Will you miss me when I'm gone? I am the storm that never leaves Will you miss me when I'm gone? I bring the, I bring the weather with me.
