A few other factoids: - Akuma was indeed NOT in Street Fighter: The Movie. He was played in the game by movie stunt guy Ernie Reyes Sr. - In the stock firmware on this device, you can tap the power button to make the D-Pad emulate an analog stick. It doesn't magically make it analog, but it does mean you can control the characters. - A lot of the control problems and other issues can apparently be helped or resolved entirely by using custom firmware, such as MuOS, Knulli or modded stock firmware. I'll likely be installing Knulli on mine.

Definitely something to be aware of, especially if you do what I did and update the system to have a power button tap be the Quick Sleep function.

Knulli is the move imo. Emulation Station frontend and it has SP specific features like closing lid for sleep mode and Menu+Select to switch between analog and dpad

I ordered mine a few days ago, and I'm very excited! I don't need it perfect, just cheapish, really good, and (most of all) clamshell. This is a great video, it's nice that you show actual screen capture, unlike most. Also, this isn't an "SP", it's obviously a "Flipzizzle" as per TechDweeb. Use the correct terminology, man. 😉

For psp , you can press power button to switch the dpad to analog input.. Same with DS , you can press power button to access touch controls.. It works fine.. I bought and happily use RG35XX SP mainly for NES , SNES , GBA , PS1 and some genesis and arcade stuff.. Love the clamshell design 😊 Other emulation I treat it as a Bonus Using it as an MP3 and MP4 when Im on a road trip is also worth the price.. I really like what I got out of the box with stock OS, maybe I would try tinkering with custom OS once I'd buy an SD Card.

Haven't watch the vid yet (I'm at work) but I'm impatient and wanna comment anyway :P Absolutely love my Anbernic SP. I've had it for about 2 weeks and I've been tinkering with it nonstop. If you like GBA look up the shader / overlay called "Perfect GBASP". I put it side by side next to my AGS101 and it gets VERY close to looking as good.

wife validating you in the background was too wholesome EDIT: also all the systems you tried up to dreamcast should work at full speed. Try the RA menu (retroarch) instead of the games rooms menu which is just badly configured. It also has better filters pre-configured on that.

I remember nesticle! Wow, that's a memory unlocked. It worked fine on my 486-120Mhz, but SNES would be at half speed or so. Those were some crazy days.

yea I have the Anberic rg 351v and just couldn't imagine it without the analog stick, esp when it comes to N64

The lacking software configs will frustrate casual gamers or kids that get it as a gift. Custom installs are too complicated for a large part of the people that would buy this device.

Which section were you loading the games from? Other reviewers have mentioned that the first isn't worth bothering with and that everything should be loaded from the Retroarch section.

Loaded from both. Retroarch was the one that gave me fits with controller key bindings.

6:13 It's absolutely because it's set to PAL, the game is a PAL exclusive, but if you force it to run NTSC it'll play just fine.
