Ah, this tour was so lovely and peaceful. Just like the show. My favourite was when Barney Fife would dodge traffic and get all annoyed and angry. It makes me laugh outloud. I second others who have suggested the Golden Girls house as your next project. I'd like to see how you fit 4 bedrooms in a hallway that only ever showed 3 doors. And each bedroom seemed to have an ensuite. Also how the back door (off the kitchen) magically didn't open right into one of the bedrooms. Fun stuff. Thanks for this great video. Always enjoy your recreations.

I really enjoyed this, Marina! Beautiful work! I love all of the tour videos of yours that I've seen, but especially this one! Sadly, as you know I am sure, the Desilu backlot where the sets for Mayberry, Gilligan's Island and others was torn down long ago, so thanks for creating a way for us to experience it virtually! Have you ever done a tour of the Mork and Mindy set? That would be one that I would love to see. My wife and I visited the house on Pine Street in Boulder, Colorado, used for the exteriors last time we were there.

Another wonderful video! I just love taking these walks down memory lane. Of course, seeing the details and perspectives always seem to add more questions in my mind--in this case, I'm wondering about the second floor of the courthouse building. I wonder what was up there. I also wonder HOW they got up there since there is no secondary entryway on the front of the building and no staircase inside the first floor that we've ever been shown. Perhaps the stairs were along the back of the building? I guess we'll never know for sure.... 🙂 And you won't be surprised to read this, but I'd dearly love to see the Murder, She Wrote house drawn up one day. 🙂

We think alike. I was pondering on the upstairs, too. The mayor was up there. There could have been a back door with either outside stairs or interior ones. But seems like a mayor would want to enter from a main entrance. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks about these things. I remember that episode, it was where Aunt Bea experienced a shock when a woman she knew (and who was Bea's own age) passed away, and as a result, ended up being hustled by a snake oil salesman who selling an "elixir" that got a whole lady's meeting, as Barney put it, "crocked." The theater was in another street. The Bank was across the street as were several other shops. The Mayberry Hotel was also on main Street but I am sure the church and community auditorium were not. I think Weaver's department store, Which has three different owners during the series, was also in Main St There weren't any homes in main street either. Wally's filling station was a block ircao behind Main Street. A couple episodes have a dirt road leading to the station while others show a straight Black top road. Once certain house was used in several episodes was used in the movie "Gone with the Wind." The house used as Andy's house was only about a thousand feet from the church Yes, I am a real DIEHARD fan of TAGS!
