I've been reading (listening to) the novels alongside the release of each episode and I am floored at how close the Anime is to the source material, it's beat for beat almost identical, to the point that some events in the Anime don't make sense until you read the books. Hands down one of the best Anime of all time, past present future, we are witnessing one of the greatest events to ever transpire.

I agree with you 100%. I would say this is my favourite anime I’ve seen of all time, and I’ve watched quite a few. It’s a shame that some people dropped the show and rated it poorly because of Rudeus’ pervy behaviour when he is younger.

Light novel goes up to 20 and then you have to finish with the webnovel but the webnovel story is over and even has a redundancy telling what happened to the side characters

Massive? Not really, the it is more in line with the quality of most episodes on Season 1 cour 2. Yes Season 1 has really food quality specialy during cour 1. But everybody forgets the quality did became a lot shaky on Season 1 cour 2. Or maybe everybody just watched the bd versions of Season 1 that contains all the fixes and polish I don't know.
