Was hanging with a friend that had a pitbull. Everything was fine, dog was jumping up to greet me, licked my face and sat down next to me while I was petting it. A loud car drove by the house causing the dog to lose it and it tried biting my face off. My friend had to physically restrain the dog and drag it into the bathroom while it was barking and growling at me. I never went back there.

Just recently a pit bull attack a kid and the mom had to fight off the dog. The kid got away. This happened in the bathroom and the mom knew she was going to be killed. So she gets the kid away, shuts the door with her still inside with the dog. Husband comes home and hears this going on. Checks on the kid, it’s injured but alive. He checks on his wife, pull the pit bull off her, drags it outside where he shoots it. He goes back to his wife and her last words are, “I have no arms, I’m dying.”

I worked at the post office as a mail carrier for a couple years and I had a certified letter I had to bring to the door of a house, coke to find out the lady answered with FOUR pitbulls behind her! Gavin likes Billy Idol and hates Pitbulls. What kind of Punk is he? My brother adopted a Pitbull that was abused as a puppy and she was all about the cuddles. She got bullied at the park by a Chihuahua. She just passed away and my brother has been down as has my sister in law as well as my nephew and nieces. I'm a dog lover and will admit that some pitbulls can be dangerous but I've been snapped at by Dachshunds, Chihuahuas and even my own Miniature Poodle so it can be anyone. One more story : A friend of my brother in law's got a Pitbull puppy in 1982 or so and named him Ripper. I knew nothing about pitbulls. He was tiny and thought A) he was being witty because I thought they were a small breed but he grew to normal size or B) He farted so much I thought it was because he would let er rip. He trained Ripper to be so dangerous and so deadly that he was ordered to put Ripper down. I was heartbroken because I played with Ripper when he was a puppy.

IDK, my dad took my pitbull puppy away when I was like 15 and he raised it into the sweetest dopiest creature you've ever seen, this was a 120lbs dog that was more Staffshire terrier a little taller and sleeker built, unlike the squat inbred pit bulls you see. He would go into a full-body waggle instead of just a tail wag when he was happy and yeah it would fuck up other male dogs, and I had to throw many, many hellacious beatings on it to save the family cocker spaniel but it NEVER turned on me or my dad, or anyone that had to help me break up a fight it got into with another dog. It lived like 16 years without ever showing a sign of aggression to a human. A close friend of mine also has a pet Pitt bull that is a complete babified goof, he's about 13 now and the only times he's ever shown aggression or bit a person was just snapping when he got surprised that didn't even break the skin. I think they are a naturally " Game Bred" dog but aggression towards people is definitely a taught thing from abuse or training. Ant was on the right path with the idea of getting a puppy instead of one that's been trained to kill, sorry I just think it's way smarter.

My pitbull Blue is a tank at a solid 99 lbs. He is the biggest snuggler dog I have ever had, we got him as a little puppy, he was left outside in the middle of winter in Minnesota (-15 the day he was found only 6 months old) and was picked up by the local pound. He was the cutest little bastard.

@@SuperVladamere my neighbor has a rescue pit, my dog and his play all the time, as a matter of fact I think his dog acts better than mine lol. Any dog can get screwed up by a previous owner, pitbulls pick up on their humans traits so if a owner is an asshole yelling all the time, most likely that dog is going to be all grumpy and mean as well. Pitbulls are too damn smart for their own good in my opinion.

I don’t necessarily think it’s all the owner I do think they’re extremely territorial and protective dogs just like German shepherds Dobermans and Rottweilers etc. as well as Tibetan mastiff’s n Chows, all extremely powerful animals, I think not everybody should be allowed to have them because for example a 5 foot two bitch wouldn’t be able to handle a fully grown any one of those, but the whole argument about Pitbulls being overall evil mean and aggressive it’s kind of dumb and falls when you realize that if the overall majority of pitbulls were that way then the “nice pitbull” would be a rarity, But yet it’s not I’ve met dozens of people in my life and never been attacked by one, and I doubt many of you have been attacked by multiple pitbull’s I mean, when I was a baby I got bitten the face by our German Shepherd, I’ve seen one attack before but I’ve also seen multiple other breeds attack before, People probably still think they have locking jars which just doesn’t make sense if you think about it because if their jaws locked closed then how will they ever be able to open them

I’ve had the complete opposite experience with Pitts. I know it’s anecdotal but I’ve found them to be an exceptional breed. I get how people are afraid tho, if my pit felt my life was threatened, carnage would ensue.

Yea savaging the litter almost never happens in dogs it usually happens when the mom sees a defect. And The puppies never do it to each other. You know what animal does do that very regularly though ? Pigs, the sow eats half the litter and the piglets will gnaw each other’s tails off if they can’t get to the teet and that injury can kill the piglet and then it’s on the menu. It’s no coincidence that multiple religions saw the way pigs act and said “oh HELL no”
