*Beginning at **00:04:26**-**00:05:45* Josephus confirms the authenticity of the _Letter of Aristeas_ who wrote of king Ptolemy wishing to gather all the writings of the world into the library of Alexandria and, of the translation of the Hebrew scriptures into the Greek tongue! Josephus also makes it clear that the elders only translated the Law of Moses: but not the entire Hebrew scriptures which contain 5,000 years of history!

@manxeindaj7861 Jesus was not shy when He explained that the Law of Moses was misunderstood. He wants everyone to know that the law was given to teach all the world to love God and each other. God was always trying to show how good He was. The trouble is people turn what God actually said into a way to control others too often. @@mishuoren394 did some research on Akhenaten. It was pretty interesting, as I had never heard of this Pharoe. I also found this: Before much of the archaeological evidence from Thebes and from Tell el-Amarna became available, wishful thinking sometimes turned Akhenaten into a humane teacher of the true God, a mentor of Moses, a christlike figure, a philosopher before his time. But these imaginary creatures are now fading away as the historical reality gradually emerges. There is little or no evidence to support the notion that Akhenaten was a progenitor of the full-blown monotheism that we find in the Bible. The monotheism of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament had its own separate development - one that began more than half a millennium after the pharaoh's death

However, those that have a mind to know the reasons of every thing, may find here a very curious philosophical theory, which I now indeed shall wave the explication of; but if God afford me time for it, I will set about writing it after I have finished the present work."

I don't mean to offend anybody by mentioning this comparison but its something that I never understood. The Jews in Europe suffered genocide at the hands of the Nazi's for 12 years resulting in World War 2. After WW2 when the world caught wind of the inhumane actions took against the Jews during the Holocaust. The world came together and pathed a road towards the existence of Israel. So basically what I'm saying is, for the 12 years of suffering that the Jews endured they practically received a WHOLE COUNTRY. Africans were sold into slavery to American colonists around 1492 and this lasted until around 1865. So close to 400 years total and 89 of them years were under the Established United States of America. When the world found out about the evil treatment to slaves and the fact that they were not even considered as human beings, the world did nothing. When looking at these two evil historical events side by side, (The Jews killed during the Holocaust which last 12 years & a estimated 6 million Jews murdered) & then ( Africans sold into slavery, losing all human rights which lasted 400 years & a estimated 60 million + Africans Murdered) How can anybody say that the world's reaction & outcomes to the two separate modern day evil travesties is fair or even in the same ballpark as fair! *___(((___The Jews suffered 12 years, lost 6 million people and the outcome was that the world basically gave them a country (Israel)___)))___* - *___(((___Africans were sold into slavery & suffered for 400 years, lost an estimated 60 million + people and the world ignored this and from the USA they received the thirteenth amendment and was released into a society that was mainly prejudice & hated them.___)))___ How is this justice? & How come nobody ever talks about this Modern Day Comparison ? (American Intermediary) I think that maybe waving African American's home property tax for four hundred years would be a good start towards reparations ! (Israel wouldn't exist without the west's intervention, TRUE or False ? Who besides the Jews benefited from Israel becoming a country?) (African slaves in the USA were not even treated with the decency or even with recognition that they were human beings in the USA for 400 years. When slaves were freed in the USA they were told good luck. GOOD LUCK catching up to the rest of society financially, GOOD LUCK catching up with the rest of society community wise, GOOD LUCK finding employment with the very little education and skills that slave owners allowed to them while held in slavery, GOOD LUCK SURVIVING IN AMERICA. Now here in America we are trying to teach that freed slaves were given Liberia if they wanted to go back to Africa. What they are not mentioning though is that Liberia was founded by American slave owners and was being set up for continued slavery over there.

You don't mean to offend? Then what's this ((( ))) ? The Jews returned to the homeland they were kicked out of. You do mean to offend. Admit it.
@JRRLewis2 жыл бұрын
You mean 1000 years vs. 400 years. A third of the Jewish people were murdered. In return they got a tiny sliver of land where their historical nation was, where they could be more protected. In the United States, the black death rate was low (much, much lower than in the Caribbean for example and lower than in many places in Africa), as slaves were far too expensive to kill off or to regularly put in high risk situations (they were far more numerous and thus cheaper and more expendable in the Caribbean). You misleadingly fail to distinguish that the vast majority of African slaves who died unnaturally were not US slaves but ones in the Caribbean, Brazil, elsewhere in Latin America and of course in the Middle East and North Africa or died in the passage on overwhelmingly non-US American ships. Blacks in the US never experienced anything as close to as genocidal as the Holocaust. Add to that the fact that Jews like Africans were also enslaved for hundreds of years (by the Egyptians) and suffered from violent, deadly pogroms for around a thousand years in Europe (it's shocking you would claim "12 years" and mean it seriously), and it becomes very hard to claim based on historical facts that US blacks had it as bad throughout history as the Jews, the most persecuted group of people in history. And that's not even mentioning that Israel is extremely tiny compared to the dozens of black majority/black ruled nations that exist and make up a large portion of the globe. To complain about the Jews getting some of their land back after the greatest genocide (percentage wise of their people) in history after they had been chased out of Israel (although never completely so) by a variety of imperialists doesn't sound much better than complaining that Native Americans are permitted small reservations where they get to rule some of their own people and keep their traditions alive in their historical homelands.
@Craig-wk1kz Жыл бұрын
Both groups of people should be remembered for being the victims they have been, don't be bitter regarding the Jews, because they have been victims throughout history of the highest prejudice this has resulted in mass murder theft of dignity slavery and displacement and the irony to your point is that there is a possibility that the African slave and the Jew are likely to have a blood connection originating from the time of the dispersion of the ten tribes of Israel when Assyria scattered the tribes amongst it's occupied nations. It can't be a coincidence that two of the most persecuted groups of people in history appear to have endured these hardships in a parallel time frame and continue to do so what you witness is prophesy and we should be inspired not dispondent . For me the brutal force of Christianity is responsible for every crime against both groups of those nations people , blame the perpetrator not the victim .

KZbin recommends things based on what you’ve watched. Commenting on this certainly isn’t helping.

Tom Jones You should rethink your position! 2 Peter 1:17-21 NASB For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased"- [18] and we ourselves heard this utterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain. [19] So we have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. [20] *But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation,* [21] *for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.*

Josephus is spitting in your face by writing these historical works in parallel with the events of bible, he's tongue in cheek toying with your mind 2,000 year later from the grave. If you are trying to defend on the bible on a video of Josephus' works..wow, the ignorance from Christians truly never ceases to amaze me, and i'm sure I will be reminded until the end of time.@@built4speed101
