Your song that says, "we're going to build a life together"...makes me tearful. It's so nice to see a couple work on goals together yet don't strangle each other's creativity....there is no belittling or criticizing of each other only support and thoughtfulness. I am so happy that you and Ashley found each other and all your fur babies are fortunate to have you two.

Since the Ants are on the move, they were most likely carrying the Larvae (future workers) to the new location as determined by the Queen. You will also see worker ants carrying thier deceased members out of the nest for disposal. For such tiny critters, they are remarkably organized.

I love how when you do anything for your queen you do it a 100%. Example her gardening shed with flowers on top. That’s a true king taking care of his queen.

Having restored 4 trailers from that era by the time you get rid of all the rotten wood you will be down to the frame. Remove the metal and save it and rebuild the wood and reattach the metal to the new frame. Anything else is a waste of time. This is bringing back a lot of memories. Lots of vintage trailer suppliers on the nest.

Well at first this looked as if you would have this camper licked….and then more structural rot. There is a product that hardens rotten wood, but I don’t know how it would work on something like this. Taking it down completely and rebuilding though, such a task! You have so much time invested in it now that it almost seems like starting from scratch is the best way to go. I had almost thought about trying to get a camper and turning it into an art studio….but if I run into all this, it may not be worth it. lol I can’t wait to see the results!

Joshua , you have a way of combining words that make verbal shorthand etc. and they make perfect sense and who knows may even add a few to the dictionary . The cleaning process is so important and you should wear a respiratory type mask possibly . It is so good to see you so enthusiasm about a project that will give you big dividends in the long run for sure . A perfect canvas for your spectacular artwork I would say . It would take on a most unique look over all yet increase in value and still be a personalized piece of history. Hopefully , those ants are not termites because you do want them destroying your home or trees ! I am sure you already took that under consideration , hopefully ! You need gloves to continue working on the trailer because you could get infections you certainly do not need . Please be more careful because no one wants you getting hurt. I do not use bug spray because birds will eat most bugs and they would ingest the spray as well ! So nature does do the basics and then sometimes natural remedies like white vineger mixed with a small amount of dish soap added with water and spray well .

Love ya , If you are going to replace the floor then why not consider replacing it with a floating dock material and make it a house boat portable cottage with a Kimberly wood stove with solar lights and a portable toilet . If you include a trap door you could go fishing year round . If you strengthen the roof you could have a deck up there . Since you are replacing the windows then why not put double glazed ceiled unit windows , If you widen your sky light you could have a private entrance to your roof . No matter what you decide to do , I suspect you will have big fun with it . You could even put a 12v fridge in it . Big fun Josh thank you for sharing . Hugs from Ontario

Yikes; kinda looks like you might have to build anew from bottom up and then use the original exterior frame siding/metal. It would be all new and custom inside and the only original parts would be the facade of the outside metal with logo etc. I'm surprised it was so rotted. What now?

Awesome Joshua, Take her back to the bare bones. As you start "reskinning" her I will lose all respect for you if you use a household silicone product. Look at how boat builders do it. Look at 3Ms 4200 and 5200, Try and use a 2 part penetrating epoxy on all pieces of wood you lay in (preferably Smiths Systems-though I doubt it's available in CN.) When you relay the skin-make sure predrill the holes and use a syringe to prefill them with penetrating epoxy. I've rebuilt boats that I lived on that had tons of wood rot.
