The iconic Anyox Dam is one of the prominent structures that still remain from this over 100 year old ghost town. The concrete dam was built in 1922-24 to meet the demands of increased power usage from the expansion of new buildings and structures like the concentrator and coking plant. It was the only structure that Granby Consolidated contracted out to be built. The dam still stands today and is the key ingredient in Anyox Hydroelectric's plan to start generating power again and putting it back on the provincial grid.
