I usually sing it in concerts. As a low baritone I prefer to start on the note A# (thus in the key of F#) and usually strum open strings on the mountain dulcimer tuned DAD with a capo on 2nd fret. Or for a step lower, 1st fret.

@@walkaboutjesusradio Very unlikely; as far as I know, I'm the only person who has ever performed it outside of shape-note societies. My releases need to be instrumental, but who knows, maybe I'll do a vocal version at some point. Why don't you?😊
