I also was not immersed and aware of the lore going on (I knew it was a thing, but that's it) so I had no idea it was meant to be propaganda. Still loved the band, the album just wasn't for me. It has grown on me as my tastes have expanded a bit. I really like Redecorate, The Outside, and No Chances, and I can vibe with Shy Away and Saturday when I'm in the mood. With the release of Clancy, I watched a very long lore deep dive video and am now fully immersed in and obsessed with the world of Trench, and absolutely love the Clancy album. I felt incredibly bad for the guys, still do, because it was like people were going crazy back then - removing tattoos, burning merch.... I've never seen such hatred and rejection just because an artist changed the sound and atmosphere in a new album. skeleton clique is something else. both in a good and bad way.

Common styles they use in there songs is alt and rock. Most songs have those plus like 5 different ones (For most of them) But they have variation. There music also includes ukuleles, screaming, singing, and rapping. Depending on the song. So the best way to explain it. Is to listen to there music yourself :) highly suggest great band

Was it my fav? No. But that doesn't necessarily make it bad. It's all objective and I find the more I listen the more I like it! But you do you!

That's a fair opinion. I for one appreciates how sai shows their duality and that I can listen to different parts of their discography after any mood or situation I'm in. It was well made and had the tøp flare to the songs. Although I absolutely agree it shouldn't be a sound that sticks around for too much in future albums or for a long time overall in their careers, only if it makes sense for what they want to convey or if it fits sporadically on an album’s overall sound. For me the sound can be a biit much when I listen to sai from start to finish, but as standalone songs on shuffle I love them. In that way I’m happy Tyler said sai was made like that on purpose for the lore, that there was thought behind these choices.
