Same; pretty BS for Strike Industries to cheap out and skimp on their customers and not supply the detent springs . They charge a premium and will spend more on packaging, but not provide on a spring that cost them nothing.

@omgwtfits76123 жыл бұрын
Wait, what am I missing here? What does this help with? Do you remove your takedown pin completely when taking an upper off a lower? I understand that some guys might lose ONE pivot pin detent once in their life and then they’ll know how to never let it happen again. Who is this for?
@billbog253 жыл бұрын
No you leave it in. But if you've ever done a build the front pivot pin is usually harder to get in with a standard pin. This SI pin is simple and easy to Install and gives you the option to remove if you wanted. Unlike the standard pin. Some guys actually buy a tool to Install this pin! SI innovation has solved these issues. Simple

I ordered your pins,, but you dont include the springs that are required to install and i cant find any on your website either! What the heck guys,, a little assistance please?? thanks

Awesome product. Embarrassingly easy to install. But for some reason, I'm having a difficult time when it's time to take the upper off. Pushing the pin out isn't so easy. I wonder if I should use the mil spec detent, instead of the ones provided?
@pplebite88446 жыл бұрын
Update: It appears that the supplied detent pins are just a tad bit longer than they should be. I used the regular old mil spec detents and the Shift pins work fine, as expected.

Hey here's an idea if you guys are willing to accept the challenge of making an AR folding adapter like the (Law Tactical) the reason being is that the Law Tactical is so expensive and I don't have the money to SBR and do the trust thing, I know that you guys are innovative and have an awesome engineering staff, I just want to see your take on this picticular peice. And Thanks
@crow62266 жыл бұрын
unclesam7575 If you haven't known about this already, Sylvan Arms makes an adapter for roughly $100US cheaper than Law Tactical. There is a difference in design albeit very minimal. If Strike Industries takes on the challenge, that would be awesome, but only the future will tell. Strike Industries strives for innovation and not just to try and make things cheaper...the affordable pricing just happens to be their welcomed side-effect lol.

Will these pins also help tighten up lower/upper receiver wobble?
@rswimmer015 жыл бұрын
No, wobble is usually the culprit of the receiver manufacturer. The original "mil-spec" requirements were made around 50yrs ago, when machining technology was not as precise as today. Some manufacturers use the loose side of those tolerance ranges.

I accidentally installed the enhanced detent backwards and closed the pivot shift pin permanently shut! Help! I'm over here using dental tools to depress the spring from the weep hole enough to let the detent fall back. Can't find anyone else on the internet that managed to reverse this...

@omgwtfits76123 жыл бұрын
Exactly, what’s the benefit here unless you completely remove your takedown pin every time. I have plenty of receivers that have only ever once had the pin installed. As in you never ever need to remove it completely

@Ballista7626 жыл бұрын
What is the benefit of these?
@crow62266 жыл бұрын
GibsonOfAGun I am assuming the benefit is to be able to remove the pins easier than normally with the grooves, but for reasons unknown to me. It is not like we need to fully remove pins normally. To be honest, I am sure many will purchase these for cosmetic reasons. It is welcomed to have these for those who want to color match their AR parts. To each their own 🍻.

@@crow6226 it's more for easy install. Not that installing regular ones is insanely difficult, but it does basically require a tool to do so and you have to be pretty careful. This product means no tools and it's super easy. Why not?
