Everyone knows the fastest way from point A to point B is a straight line, and for most Southern Californians, going to Las Vegas is just that….blasting through Interstate 15 as fast as legally possible to get to Sin City. Usually, one never really stops, except for Barstow or Baker for a quick refuel, Alien Jerky, or a quick bite at the Mad Greek restaurant. There are known offshoots, such as the Calico Ghost Town to lesser known places like the 80-acre town of Nipton, CA.
Having just returned from the 2021 SEMA Show, our “back in office” emails were suddenly interrupted for a quick trek back to Las Vegas. But this time, we took three days to head out with the crew and from Turn 14 Distribution / Pit + Paddock and other industry professionals to join them for their Drivers Project, which showed us we don’t always have to be in a hurry to get to Vegas.
DAY 3:
Day three of Pit and Paddock's Drivers Project Off-Road began at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant in Needles, CA.
After grabbing breakfast, we headed to the city of Nipton to explore the town of 20 residents and checked out their art monuments. From there, we made our way to Vegas Off-Road Tours to jump some in Polaris RZRs for some fast and dusty off-road riding. After exploring the trails in the RZRs for a couple of hours, we finally headed to Vegas to close off the trip with a fantastic custom dinner experience at Vegas Test Kitchen.
