Hello Arne and Carlos, Would you talk about your design process? For example, how have you gone about designing the squares for this KAL? Does one of you sketch it or chart it? Yes I have read that book. I work at an independent bookstore in Fort Worth Texas, @monkeyanddogbooks Ordinary Grace was one of our book club books. Catherine Center is another great author. Not historical fiction but her novels are fantastic. Worth checking out. I too listen to books however, I use Libro.fm as it benefits the independent bookseller instead of Amazon.

Haha Arne, loved the way you jumped in to do the formalities today, and when talking about if not liking the podcast, and Carlos you speaking about the porridge, it came into my mind from my childhood a famous Irish comedienne who had a Christmas Panto every year - her closing line was if you liked the show tell your friends if you didn’t keep your breath to cool your porridge. You should say something like, if you liked it press the thumbs up, if not then keep on knitting...

Hi Arne and Carlos, There was a snow storm at the end of March in Edmonton Canada but like you I have started some of my seeds under my grow lights in my basement. I have baby lettuce, baby herbs and baby tomato plants. They let me dream of spring with 1/2 metre of snow. Thank you for a bright spot with your videos and patterns in my day as I work from home. I'm sorry to post so late, but I'm just catching up on the quarantine videos. I'm a hospice nurse so have been working thru this difficult time, then fell and fractured my arm, so have time to catch up. Honestly, you two have been such a bright spot in my day. You make me laugh when I want to cry- I'm not able to work and help my co-workers who are dealing with our patients. I just want you to know I absolutely enjoy hearing about the porridge gate and today, about the waffle gate. soooo very funny. Please keep yourself safe as the world enters into the another round of lockdown. I'm just now able to pick up knitting needles again and knit a few rounds before pain prevents further knitting, but I'm downloading the swatches and have purchased the 2020 Christmas Stocking and 24 Christmas Balls from your website. When able I will get these done. My goal is for 2021 Christmas and swatches whenever. Please know Arne and Carlos, you are both such a bright spot in my day. I wish you both good health.

Time for a fun snowball game! Maybe build a spring snowman to watch over the lake? I still love to play in the snow when I am lucky enough to get some! You could take porridge gate outside for a snowball duel (all in fun though). Or a snow sculpture contest. I keep thinking of the fun in snow, probably because I miss it. Where I live doesn’t get much snow, unless you head to the mountains. Ignore if you are just done with snow, I hope there will be more butterfly patches. The butterfly square is lovely! I put in some sweet peas, but no sprouts yet. Have fun shopping, I bet there will be some fun waffle toppings coming home! I had a break yesterday. So I’m not caught up once again. 🤣.

Hello. I’ve been enjoying these daily podcasts - so just to add something to porridge gate! Have you considered a savoury porridge- cook the oats with stock, fry onions and add mushrooms and thyme then mix with the cooked porridge oats and add a cheese of your choice. Season! Try it it’s lovely!
