@@GreenAquaShop you asked which view is preferred: before the trim or after. I model my tanks off the rivers I have lived near: the New & Neuse on the East Coast of the US, the Rio Grande and the Gila, the Atoyac and Grijalva, the Jalapa and Río Chisná, the Nooksack and Skagit, Chilliwack and Samish... I replicate the lakes of my childhood for my grandchildren to watch. I prefer the wild state, the way some plants overgrow the tank in the spring and then melt back as other plants literally bloom in the summer, and then others show their best colors and growth in the fall only to have the entire tank slow its growth and remind us to rest for the winter... to start the process over again in the spring when plants that had seemed to disappear the year before come back into all their glory. I prefer the full growth of the tank and its plants before you trimmed, however I can say that your skills in trimming plants are the most attractive I have ever seen. Most people who focus on aquascaping do not trim with your eye to detail, and I typically equate a trimmed aquascape to a formal garden: pleasing to those who enjoy such things, and an eyesore to those who embrace the wild spaces in nature. You have managed Amano's skill for making a carefully cultivated space appear wild. I can prefer to allow my micro environs to experience all their seasons without my interference, and still appreciate the skill behind what you just accomplished. Well done.

@Epic Aquatics I had missed the video of you creating the scape originally, so I went back and watched. It's great to know that there's another aquascaper out there who doesn't "follow the rules" of *don't plant in lines* and *don't let it go wild* Being allowed to see how your trip to the local willow tree accentuated your vision from walking your dog improved the end product was helpful. Do you ever set up a tank and just allow nature to take its course? (See my above response to Balasz regarding my preference on 'before or after') Learning how native fish and shrimp interact with plants at various points of the year, and observing the benefits of seeding tanks with blackworms and microfauna before introducing shrimp, and later fish, has taught my grandchildren so much more about the evolution of our environments. I have to agree with Balasz, this is probably the best tank at the studio to date, **because** it looks closer to a square removed from nature and transplanted into the studio. I much prefer this rewilding movement, and the opportunity to learn about how to support ecosystems.

One thing i love about the hydrocoyle tripartita is their lovely smell when you smell them in their emerse form or after you trim them. The red in the back of the tank really helped the contrast of the scape! well done!

This whole tank reminds me of something like a Hawaiian or Polynesian headdress, exotic, tropical, ornate; a warm unique feel that offers something truly different, not just to your showroom but the whole aquarium community. To consider it was achieved in such a short amount of time as part of an audience and broadcast is truly remarkable.

Yes . When aquarium plants are at the peak of their growth, then our time comes. We roll up our sleeves and cut everything, pull it out, and transplant all beauty away in short. And patiently wait later, when everything grows again.🤨

Beautiful cinematography, calming and informative presentation, thank you. I question just 1 thing, your use of a "Carbon supplement" - Glutaraldehyde, The only use I see for these products now is chemical control of Algae. As a channel that takes so much time to offer advice and expertise about creating with nature I find it out of place that this product is part of the regime. It's like dosing H2O2 as far as I'm concerned. Maybe it's a commercial thing?

I have a bunch of questions for you. I have watched about 60% of all your videos and they are well done and the quality is exceptional. It is nice to watch full screen and really enjoy everything. What I would like to ask is this. Can you please do a 4 hour video of how you started, all the mistakes you made over time, all the hardware you use that is not EHEIM. I have nothing against EHEIM, but I am looking for avenues that are for those who can afford the best from the start. I don't mean that to sound horrible. I really don't, but I would like to know "the best of the best from the start". OKay, what does that mean. I am sure you know what it means to DIY or hire someone that is not as professional as you can get based on monetary restrictions. My conversation is that I start with the best of the best in the world starting today. I need to know the avenues of where you get your predrilled cubes. What is running under them? What items you would use for a 26"" tall x 48"x48" custom rimless tank, predrilled and whom to get it from. I would like to know the best of the best Co2 setup for a tank that size, overcompensating rather then a CHEAP way to go. I would like to deal with (shamefully) a responsible attitude towards money but elevated. I really appreciate any information you can give and maybe a forum specific to the HIGHER END, Experienced hobbyist. Thank you please. I hope that came across properly.

Amazing work by Hiten, but I still have many questions. How do you supply Seachem Excel along with ADA ferts? Do they go all together at the same time or do you have a different time for Excel and ADA ferts? Do you dose Excel daily or is it dosed on for only a few days in a week?

Is there an aquascape that can be truly left untrimmed and wild? What types of plants can be left for months without maintenance? (Outside of CO2 and waterchanges, just no trimming)
@kenet362
@kenet362 Жыл бұрын
For months most likely stuff like Anubis which grow slow or some carpeting plant that doesn’t get too tall and thick. Basically anything that’s not moss, stem plants, or floating plants.
