Thanks for offering an alternative to the usual KZbin tone and pacing, and thank you for your considered thoughts. I agree with George, and would add that meditation is compatible with all activities; you only need to be conscious of the fact that you are a thinking mind, and that you don't have to associate with your churning ideas, if you don't want to.

I apriciate his way if thinking and feeling. I don't use gloves, I Want to feel every single thing that tingling the mind set. It's a state of trance it brings me in. And gives the relaxation mind set to bring my scapes to the level I want. I love the pure nature styles, also because I want the inhabitants to feel like home and they have the best live. It's a total package that makes the scape meditating to see and that others an my self are pulled in to the scape and every day is different, that makes it the most spiritual for me.

It was great to see George star with Balasz, to create this beautiful video that really demonstrates how creating an aquascape can be meditative. The hobby absolutely helps me reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally, observing the growth and changes in the aquascape also provides me with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. Thanks again!

Great to see George back in the gallery here. I stumbled across his channel years ago when I first got into aquascaping. Then his channel led me to Green Aqua. I love the way he goes deeper into the spirit of the hobby. This is sometimes lost... That's what I love most about my aquarium... Those moments when you lose yourself when viewing a beautiful scape.. That's what it's about for me. Great video. I would also like to recommend George's book, it has helped me a lot.

I truly enjoyed the philosophical angle. I have been back into fish and plant keeping for about 3 years. I'm a disabled veteran and PTSD had slipped back into my life due to physicals limitations that kept me from working. For me aquascaping and fish keeping has no right and wrong, as George said, but rather what works and what does not work. The process from water testing the tank or vessel to maintaining the completed tank and taking the time to just sit and observe the actions and interactions are all therapy of sorts. Again thank you for another wonderful production. Oh and by the way I enjoyed watching this George much more than the mechanical George that has been an inspiration with the technical side of aquascaping.

George gives antoher great "side" of aquascaping. The "side" we experience at home when we realize that we were wathcing our scape for 15 minutes , without a specific reason and not thinking in our real life worries. Only watching. Only "breathing" nature. Only being silent and at peace... We all experience that, some more, others less, but George explains that with clarity, in speech and in scaping. Thank you sir! Keep on scaping!

One of the main reasons why I enjoy all my aquariums, from planted, to fish only, to saltwater reef is because within their glass walls, they are enclosed worlds which I can control and directly help to flourish.

George is here! These are some of the people who inspire and bring people more close to Aquarium hobby. Thank Balazs for inviting famous aquascapers/IAPLC winners to your gallery and let the viewers have a chance to listen to the thought process of Masters. I also think that such videos are only done by 'Green Aqua'. I found this video more interesting because it dwelled deep into the point what makes people stare at any aquarium, be it just a neglected tank or a well maintained aquascape. The reason for it might be "this philosophy" that runs through our mind and how it gets connected to that ecosystem, its colours, its diverse flora and fauna.. Wow! Thanks again George and Balasz/Green Aqua team.

Has George been going to therapy? George's recent videos have focussed on meditation more than the technical aspects of aquascaping but it's good to be reminded of the therapeutic nature of the hobby which can bring us to a place of inner peace. This is essentially why we all love aquascaping but few are prepared to address this aspect directly on KZbin. It's very refreshing to see someone prepared to be so vulnerable on camera and explore the nurturing nature of the hobby which leads to greater inner peace. Anyone able to aquascape is truly blessed and as aquascapers we are doubly blessed to have George share himself in this way. Thank you George and thank you Green Aqua

Lovely video! I think there can be many forms of meditation. Often there is a focus such as an action or a word to distract from the noise and calm the mind. I think aquascaping could be considered the focus to calm the mind
@williammcdowell62572 жыл бұрын
The planting, though incredibly heavy for an initial setting up (for me at least) resulted in a luscious green naturalistic triangular scape which Amano would thoroughly have approved of. I think this may have been my favourite set-up from George. Not wishing to be to focused on end-goals (there are none of course) it will be interesting to say this set-up after two or three months, some of the plant combinations would certainly challenge me in terms of maintaining the balance of light and CO2 and - Bucephalandra is so slow and prone to algae in my high energy set-up - making sure the smaller lower growing plants are not 'out competed' by the more vigorous plants that tend to reach to the surface surprisingly quickly, but all part of the underwater forest development, if we are having our Zen moment. Great content, thanks again.

I plant after filling up 1/3rd of the tank. Just upto where my hand dont get wet. This will ensure plants dont uproot when filling up with water. Dry soil is also ok. But planting in wet soil is very hard since the aquasoil clumps together.
