With fresh arms at the beginning of a bicep session I use the dumbbells. I find there is beneficial stress to the forearms in isolation. I alternate arms while keeping a good squeeze on the handles. I finish with hammer curls but do both arms at the same time for added difficulty. After that I move to the barbells including a bit of cheating at the end. I’ll finally finish on a machine where drop sets are convenient and you can focus solely on contracting the biceps after your forearms are cooked.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Zeller curl the same as the modern "barbell cheat curl"?

I have been using the Zeller Curls since your feature on it! So for me and my workout partner both really feel our biceps the next day like we haven’t felt in a long time!I have long arms at 6’3 and always had difficulty building arms but feel the negative portion of the movement fighting gravity seems to be one of the keys!

The art of dumbell curling... Flex at the elbow. The end.

Flexing at the elbow has been my biggest problem for YEARS. It wasn't until recently I realized that's a mistake. Since I started focusing more at the shoulder I've gotten better results.
