You should hire local artists to paint something different on each panel to design your studio! Musically oriented arts of course!
@broomwinkle5 жыл бұрын
Depending on what the panels are finished with that could mess up the abosrption coefficients so might not be a good idea.

Based on Tyler’s video I checked out Music City Acoustics’ website and filled out their 1-page free advice form. I was blown away when Graham himself gave me a call and spent about 30 minutes asking what I was doing and wanted to accomplish. He provide computer generated drawings with his recommendation. I Installed the panels myself with Graham’s installation guides. What sold me on Music City Acoustics was what Graham said about filling the affordability void for home studios and how he laid out his tools. Haha, seriously anyone who is that meticulous is going to provide high quality products. BTW, I live in Hawaii. If shipping to Hawaii wasn’t so expensive I would have bought more. I would highly recommend Graham!

As a lover of the 80s rock, I love reverb, but I totally see why you'd want to get rid of it. As music producers we need the most control of our sound. Then, later, if we want the reverb we can give it in a plugin where we also have control in how much we put it. Can't wait to get a room for my studio since for now it is in my bedroom.

The Idea Room. It's a cool name for a home studio.
Well, If your thinking along the lines of Dreamspace, I will suggest Dreamsville, which is a cool Henry Mancini tune. It was part of Peter Gunn series and the lyric's depict the conflation if your love for your new studio and your wife....in no particular order of course.

Walls should be medium grey, and the sound baffles dark grey. Also, get remote controlled blinds for your skylights, that direct sun on your guitars is gunna fade them over time (you can see this in his where do guitar picks go video). Awesome space though.

Great video and thanks for posting it.This is an excellent build and great to see one of these that is a semi multi-function room that has your arsenal of guitars/amps/cabs within in the same room. So many of the HS videos do NOT cater to us guitarist/musicians who have a tons of gear other than just the studio elements (not just a bunch of keys and keyboard controllers) . My room is a smaller 5th bedroom 14x16 with a small hall entryway and a full bath in the same room (if I had a Marshall fridge and a microwave on top I'd never have to leave the room). I have 12 guitars on walls, and 6 in a stage rack, (5) heads+ 4x12's in 1/2 stack configs plus a few combos. I could use two rooms but I like having it all in one room. Its kind of silly but I like to look at it when doing anything in the room :) What was your reasoning for one room design?
@MacPro8CoreMan5 жыл бұрын
Since you are now in Nashville now, you should call the space "That there space wit dem mattresses stapled to da wall" ;-). Of you could call it the "The First Room that the Burglars will Hit" Or, based on one of your recent series of vids you could name it "The studio that looks hard to put together, but it's easier than it looks". Or how about "The space formerly known as the Echo Chamber"? Or you could go MTV Cribs style... "The other room in the house where other magic happens" :D Good luck and God Bless your young family's new home!
