What an amazing teacher you are! Love everything about this! Can you possibly do a lesson on looping with the helix floor or LT? Please please 🙏

You played the thirds up and down the neck so fast that I was like, "Yer a Wizard, Harry!" ... Then I remembered I was listening on 2x speed. 🤣

Awesome video. Glad you are back. John Cordy = genuine and genius, not awkward and knobhead. Thank you for teaching and sharing your immense talent. Sorry for your recent troubles.

The “basic” theory that underlies how you’re able to build these loops layering chords and arpeggios across the fretboard is pretty amazing.

Brilliant video! I didn't have a chance to watch it when first posted, glad it's been rescued from oblivion, now that your channel is back! Amazing what you're able to create with just a clean guitar and a looper, no effects at all!

What are the advantages of using the ditto over the built in looper in the helix?

I got a rc 505 mk 2 this year. Best gear purchase in a few years for me. They increased the fidelity a lot (32 bit I think). It is the first looper I’ve used where I feel there is little tone loss. I also love that each of the 5 loops can be different sizes. I now use it as a loop maker... it has lots of banks to store ideas.... then I hook it usb and transfer loops to my daw. Great for synth too.....

Excellent demo and advice on getting started with Loopers and the fun you can have with them. I got a Looper long ago, and it was one of the best purchases I made. Is there a way to transpose the loops on the Line 6 Helix Looper in real time so you could create a chord progression with them? Can the big Boss Looper do that? It would be cool, so you don't get stuck in the loop-harmony you've created. Thanks

Saw your Boss rc600 first impressions video... would love to hear what you think after playing with it for awhile. Looks like the looper I've been waiting for. Nice video, thank you!

i really dont know why its been so hard for companies to think that maybe some guitarists want to be lazy or have other things to do/think about and just create loop patterns based on 1-2-4-6-8-16 bars. its only in the boss rc500 and flagship sampler and a small amount of other loopers that are capable of this
@johnnathancordy2 жыл бұрын
Do you mean like pre-defined loop lengths?
@KenithCopeland2 жыл бұрын
@@johnnathancordy yeah thats what i meant (my bad for poorly getting that point across)
@jorgemartinez420692 жыл бұрын
How do you stay on time with the pre-defined loop lengths? I don't want a click track to be playing through my amp...
@KenithCopeland2 жыл бұрын
@@jorgemartinez42069 a bar length is set with a bpm but that doesnt mean everything within that set amount of time is quantised precisely to a grid. even with a regular looper once that first loop is made a loop length is set so your same question about staying in time is still relevant. the human element is able to speed up or hold off to re center any shifts within the loop, unlike a complete live "free form" set where a click track keeps everyone centered

This is super useful! How many layers can you do with the ditto?

Hmm. I think pretty much infinite? I've never hit whatever the limit is? Good question....
