We laughed a lot, but we don't really have any suggestions. We are so happy that the comment section is so positive and encouraging. Keep it up.

It would be so much fun - maybe once i've got a few more videos out and some sort of social media or discord community going i'd give it a shot

Motivation is hard sometimes, that's where self discipline comes in. Sometimes you just gotta knuckle down and put the work in so that when true inspiration does hit you have the experience to create something wonderful! As always good video and congrats on 4K subs! also...a whole chicken would be delicious.
@jakeonart7 ай бұрын
100% the discipline makes such a big difference. Ok I might be able to make you a chicken (just don't tell anyone else)

Don’t ever feel bad if you can’t post or draw as much as you’d like because of life getting in the way. Crud happens mate. Just do what you can with where you’re at in life. Love your channel and love following your art journey dude! The little community you built here on KZbin will always be here for you no matter what :)

This was a nice little video, Don't ever force yourself to post a video if you're not feeling it. We are all happy to wait as long as we have to. Also, I think it would be fun if you try out some other mediums like painting or digital art. Congrats on 4k as well.

Thank you for having this channel. I have been struggling with motivation with learning to draw better. I get frustrated pretty easily when I try to draw but it doesnt come out the way I see it in my mind.

Suggestion. Do an artist study with a different art style then your usual go tos. Maybe Calvin and Hobbs by Bill Watterson just because I'm bias. dont do one you hate just not use too.

Finding motivation is probably one of the hardest things when it comes to, well, most things, but especially Art. Technical skill can be learned over time and there are clear methods to do so, but motivation, not so much (unfortunately). Even so we must push on to create what we love! Also looking forward to the (hopefully) future discord server :D

Hey man I have been trying to learn how to draw for the past couple years and every time I start getting better something comes up and I forget about it then I have to start all over again but I started up again before you posted your first video by a couple of weeks then when I was about to forget about it I came across your video and btw I found your channel like a month ago anyway knowing that someone is going through the same thing as me and didn’t give up inspired me to keep going and I am proud to say I finished my first sketchbook and I already drew a couple of drawings in my new one btw I would usually just draw on my note book but again you inspired me to buy actual art supplies and stuff like that anyway this is my long way of saying thanks
@jakeonart7 ай бұрын
LETS GO!! Finishing that first sketchbook feels so good. I'm glad to hear you're keeping up with it that's awesome! But ya know what feels better than finishing one sketchbook...finishing two sketchbooks.

Here’s a suggestion! Post some vlogs or some unedited content. I personally like listening to your ideas and just you talking about art in general. So even the idea of unedited content of anything art related sounds great!

I think a Discord would be great for everyone, have separate channels for creative writing, drawing, character design ect. you could set a monthly, weekly, or daily type Prompt/theme that you could use in your own adventures. after all. "good artist borrow, Great artist Steal." just some food for thought :) appreciate your videos. keep it up!

Hm. In my self-talk, trying to get motivated by watching inspirational material is "procrastination". Maybe I'm being too hard on myself, though. I often feel like other people are machines, that they rarely slow down, that they don't have trouble to get going, and that it's a personal failing if I struggle with that. The culture of the 2020's is getting kind of weird, isn't it?
@jakeonart3 ай бұрын
Being someone who rarely slows down takes a lot of practice. You have to work hard at working hard. So this means constantly finding ways to get motivate yourself and reframing your brain to not think of doing art (or whatever else you wanna do) as work and more so just something you'd rather be doing than anything else.
