Today is june 1st and I'm starting a diary. As Waldon and Ryan recommended. I hope I can improve my writting skills and, beyond that, I'm striving to better enjoy life. I fully believe that the "boring" world and the massant ( I'm not sure is written correctely ) activities have so much to offer. I'm actually Brazilian, but, in order to get a cerfiticate for studying in Australia, I must study English... LET'S KEEP THE CONCRETE TRUCK WORKING!!!! LOVE U!

These are centuries-old techniques that'll keep your pantry full as a writer. You've also shared some beautiful thoughts. Keep going. Keep up the writing.

I’m absolutely dying over the analogy between street writing and meditation, I’m a yogi myself and it’s quite true, where you’re locking your focus onto something and simply observing, no judgement or being dragged along with it, and with that you see so much more, you’re able to magnify the subtlest things like the change in your breath or the way someone contorts their head when speaking. Booyah! you’re awesome thank you jay!

Beautiful Cal! Nice to hear the advice resonated with you, fellow Yogi :) Street writing, people watching is very similar to Meditation. I did a 10 day Vipassna three months ago and it really helped me with my writing, might make a video about that soon :) Rock on Cal, you always leave the most informative and pleasure to read comments, thank you for that!

Great tips as usual. I'm enamoured with Romanticism and my goal is to live a Romantic lifestyle I the city. Your tip will help me spot anything remotely (or not at all) Romantic and just get the words flowing and flowing and flowing. The other say, as I passed a bakery shop, I saw a butterfly trapped in one of the glass cases, so I asked the owner to give it to me, thinking it was too weak to fly, and when he grabbed it and was about to give to me, it just flew. I chuckled saying it best that way, the guy smiled back and left off to the bus stop! Don't know why I told this story but I guess it goes along with the video 🤷🏻♀️

That story is so poetic Sarra! I loooove it! It kind of reminds me of us, humans, we are all trapped in our comfort bubbles behind our insecurities and when we push past the glass, out of our comfort zone, we can all fly high because there's no glass to protect us anymore :)

@@JayTheAuthor very well said. I want to convince myself and others that the world around us holds beauty and poetry. My goal is to prove that exploring the world (the city especially) is something worth trying and I think that it helps us remain hopeful!

I like to think that people watching can help you become a better person, even just just by realizing in real time there's so many people living on the earth and how different they are, it's a mind-opening experience. Thank you once more for this inspiring video jay!

Totally agree with your words as always! We are so different and so strange in our own weird ways which makes this world so beautiful :) Thank you for taking the time to leave such wonderful comments! I love reading them!

Beautiful words Amy, I am really happy you enjoyed the video! It's funny you say that about writing, my mission with this channel is to make writing fun for everyone :) I was turned off from writing due to school but later in my life, when I started travelling I started to find fun in writing. I hope you can give it a go on the street or at a cafe since you're a lifelong people watcher :) I'm sure you will nail it! And it would be nice to hear if it makes you smile, rock on Amy and thank you for lovely comment!

This is such a help, since I am living in a non-english speaking country and I am a English speaker. So i can't talk to people on the streets. So thanks

Darn I just wrote an essay on people-watching here that got deleted when I canceled on accident... the beauty of life going on the street is infinite! Consider yourself people-watched right now.
