I really love when makers have a solid amount of footage of the finished project as Michael does! So many barely show any footage after they finish and just go almost immediately into the outro.

I did enjoy the fact that you showed the small battle with the pocket hinge…slide…things. So many videos just show - oh get this hardware, install it, away you go. It never goes like that in real life when you’re designing and making your own stuff with new hardware 👌👌

The flutes really set off the piece overall. Extremely well done. I recently finished a piece and had to mill 12 pulls with the Shaper Origin. I was convinced I had a 1 in 12 chance to screw it up, but I got lucky!

Thanks! Yeah I probably did 6-7 test pieces so the odds were not in my favor 😂 Fortunately it wasn’t on the grain matched doors

Fluting the tall cabinet in my eyes is genius and leaving above fridge smooth. I’ve used those’d recessed hinge sets on tv cabinets (back when tvs were big boxes lol) and the first time you use them your right they can be a pain. Looking beautiful. Oh, my wife is watching the kitchen videos of the remodel and taking notes. I hope to get started on our kitchen renovation in June

Glad to see this series back on track! Have been missing my Alm fix for a while. A few things I noticed: 1. Zeta p2 and divario connectors would be great for those baffles if you wanted to do a hidden fixing install 2. Be careful with those sliding pocket door assemblies and any grain matched panels. If the door gets marred from being slid into the cabinet at the wrong angle, then it will be a super expensive replacement since you’ll need to do all doors again, not just the damaged panel. Better to use paint grade finishes here. 3. Not sure how easy it would be to resize that over fridge cabinet, but it would be definitely worth making it shallower so that you can vent the fridge into the cavity behind. Unless of course you’ve got a proper integrated fridge (sub zero, Fhiaba, Liebherr etc) coming that vents in and out of the front.

Seeing this talent and ability to produce beautiful things from scratch however makes me deeply regret my choice of profession when I was in Trade School. I wish I had taken carpentry and woodworking instead of electronics. Now in my 50s, I am deeply unsatisfied with my profession and wish I could have gone back and made a different choice.
