i would just like to confess my gratitude for you and this channel. Being a 20 year old college student, I feel as though society nowadays view modesty and domestic duties as primitive and sexist. Given that I am modest and enjoy such duties, It’s so refreshing to have people like you out there to be an elegant role model. It’s an important aspect of life and success. I absolutely adore you! Thank you 💓

Dear Jennifer, This bbrought tears to my eyes. It made me think of my Mother and how much we enjoyed the holidays. She lved preparing for Tanksgiving and Christmas, but she died of cancer in March, 2o19. Nothing has been the same since. She lived on a fixed income and at the end of October I'd ask her what items she needed for the Thanksgiving meal. It was always the same dishes because my brothers wanted her mashed potatoes, green beans. Dressing, Turkey and gravy, pumpkin pie and pumpkin cheesecake. There were a few more dishes too. I would buy the food and start helping her the day before by making the green beans, dressing and mashed potatoes as she was getting older and it was so nice to just be with her. I would usually buy a nice tablecloth every other year and I'd help her set the table. I don't have her any more and the loss is devastating. I don't feel like making a Thanksgiving Dinner, but I know she would want me to carry on her traditions, so I do this with my husband's family.

Your kitchen is beautiful. I forgot to mention I adored the last chic assignment, you made a great point about the Phantom of the opera performance, Angela's introduction added something extra special to the piece. It was a lovely performance, I hope to see it in a theater one day soon. I would love to entertain like this unfortunately I am yet to meet people who live a similar life to us. Not wanting to come across as judgmental, but people I meet today often have no manners or respect they will say anything they can to hurt your feelings, argue, debate, loud politic discussions, inappropriate dancing, I listen to people talk about their interests but whenever I try to mention mine, health, traditional living, homemaking eg I am shamed and put down, it gets quite lonely but I have to remain true to myself so watching you brings me a sense of calm. Excuse the long comment

Thank you! This was such a gorgeous and elegant table setting! I especially liked the touch of green in the ecossais (plaid) table runner and napkins matching the bay leaves bouquet, the automnal colours and patterns of the china and the crystal glasses sparkling in the candlelight. @bri lor are those matching napkin rings, or just plain ones (apart from being made of sterling silver!), or, "any style goes as long as it is sterling silver"? :-) This sounds lovely. :-)
@brifren24 жыл бұрын
@@thekingsdaughter4233 Usually the silver napkin rings have different styles, as they are offered individually to each baby; and it's nice as the purpose of personalised napkin rings used everyday is it makes it even easier to spot your own, before reading your name. But I guess they could be matching. My parents had 2 matching rings as they got them later in life, but we got different ones, and my children did too. Most of ours come from the brand Christofle, and some matched the individually silver cutlery set we were offered later on some other occasion. (The other silver gift often offered is a silver egg cup). In France in some shops you can also find napkin rings made of wood, carved with surnames..
