@@raramouni Do you remember that exercise in class where one person would tell another a story and then that person would turn to another one and repeat it and so on throughout the class of about 30 people. By the time it got to the end, the teacher asked the last student to get up in front of the class the repeat the story and it had very little resemblance to the original. That’s exactly how that was written after being censored by people with their own agendas. I think it is absolutely possible that the Bible was written with some historical facts mixed in to make it more believable. History is full of statesman priest, dictators, and other so-called dignitaries, and writer’s that offer no hard evidence that it was good to worship Idols. Plus, the God of the Bible stated that he was a jealous God. If he was really a God, why would he be jealous of anything? He also stated in the Bible that, there shall be no other gods before me. How many others are there? The fairytale just does not make any sense at all. You can worship a old Buick or a statue that were both made in a factory if you would like. I just simply point out the hypocrisy in the whole thing. ☮️

I know he said at the end that you can be rich and poor, and still follow the path to ascension, but I believe than St. Francis wouldn't have been able to reach the heights that he did if he didn't relinquish his attachments of wealth. It's hard for people to understand that living a simple life, as opposed to a lavish one, is such a powerful tool for growth, but our innate animal instinct of survival, especially heightened in our modern culture, keeps us in fear of losing our perceived sense of financial security. Fear is a very strong form of attachment, and if we have strong attachments to this 3D world, then we will reincarnate back to this 3D world. A great first step would be practicing minimalism, and see where you can go from there.

Assisi is such a very special place. I have had a series of lovely pet dogs over the years. The last died age 14 just a moth ago,, and as always I said I never want another one. In a previous life, I was born in 1326, 100 years after Francis passed away from this life in 1226, I was a Franciscan monk in Spain and was helping and assisting people that suffer with the Black Plague in 1349. I also got the plague and passed away that year. Francis was a very special saint, not even being a priest, the Pope had to accept him because of a dream he had.

Interesting take on my favourite saint. But I do find myself wondering about this new age insistence that wealth is ok and there's no need to be poor if you choose a spiritual life. It’s kind of thrown in there at the end. All the great spirtitual teachers from the past to my knowledge, have made it very clear that material wealth is indeed an impediment to ultimate spiritual progress. Furthermore if you were to pick one standout feature of St Francis’ life, it was his radical commitment to having nothing.

I think it’s possibly nothing more than folklore. Possibly just a lesson to keep people from abusing animals. We have all had that lesson in school, we’re you told a story to someone and then they turned to the next person and repeated the story, and so on. After around 30 repeated the story, The last person would get in front of the class and tell them what he just heard and it was non-recognizable from the original story with a couple of facts correct. The story had morphed into imagination and interpretation of the person telling & receiving the message. Remember that?

Spirituality and a positive way is what I think is the real meaning of the Son of God. We a the children of God gave him lots of names over time that is why he is referred to as God by most people. And sad that people don’t see the evolution of religion over the time mankind has started writing it down. And the Old Testament is mostly accounts of history that was pasted from father to son, mother to daughter over time so how true is it I was not there to dispute anything in it. I just believe in the structure of the Bible because it talks to you different than me and so on that is believing.
